I think it's sad to witness Sheaf's injury problems.

At his best he is an extremely good player at Championship level. I really hope he can regain his fitness and form.

The whole strike force needs changing if we're persisting with this system.
Wright was awful when he came on and is clearly a player who needs to be fully fit (which he's not) to be affective
The home game v Sunderland last season was clearly a massive anomaly which lead us all up the garden path

You’d change the whole strike force, I’d change the whole defence outside of right back. Midfield is the strongest part of the squad but even there it’s making hard work of just getting the ball up the pitch.

At least the keeper looks good!

Whatever anyone would change its not happening in one window (I know technically it's 2 but Lampard was only just in the door for last January)

EMC improved in the second half, but he never looks to me like he's in complete control of what he's doing.

EMC is not a natural winger is he. He is strong and bustles about, more awkward than skillful. I still think it was one of his better performances today but it is still very League One.

Torp is all bits and pieces, the occasional nice touch. He never dominates or dictates play. As much as I would love him to succeed, I just don't see him progressing from useful player off the bench.

They are two players who we need to see make progress. EMC is just starting his second season at this level so understandable he is still learning his craft at this level.

Torp really does need to step up this season. He is capable of playing really nice football. But when he starts games we just don't see enough of it.

BTA seems like a lovely chap and all that and he tries hard, but I really don't want to see a starting striker with a first touch that reminds me of me.

He actually made some good runs and got into good positions but, as you say, he hasn't got a first touch

BTA getting some stick. He’s a workaday CF. He needs service. I can’t think of one well crafted ball that he received all game.

Honestly mate, I can't disagree with him which makes me a slimy little prick!
He clearly hasn't chosen this trajectory for his career but its going rapidly downhill and he's a waste of a shirt.

It doesn't. There's a difference between getting annoyed at someone continually injured and calling our captain and former player of the season 'dog shit' which he clearly isnt.

He got one in the first half, ball bounced off his foot like a trampoline and then he dived to try and win a penalty it was that bad

EMC started poorly last season out of position. Arguably, after a run in his best position, when he got injured, he was probably our best player. He never quite regained it, but with a run im confident he will. It came by accident when Wright was injured, but today is game 1. Let's cut him some slack. He definitely has it in him at this level.

No he is not. We want someone who can actually score a goal or 2...so what he runs around a lot but he hardly ever controls the ball usually tripping over it/losing it conceding possession to the opposition....If we want someone who's a squad player and potentially change a game and to progress to the prem he is not your man

EMC is a good player. Caused them problems today and think with a run of games, as seen last year, we’ll start getting goals out of him again.

To say he’s League 1 level and not a winger is ridiculous.

Would love to know what we’ve been doing in training for a month cos I don’t think we put a decent cross in all game and it’s our entire gameplan.

I'm not sure how anyone can rate a goalkeeper who barely did anything all game ahead of Sakamoto who in the first half created so much (often out of nothing) that the game should have been won in the first 45 mins.

Sakamoto was MoM for me, also when Mason Clarke was on the front foot, no Hull player could get near the ball. Thomas and Kitching were all rock solid. So those 4 get 8's, the rest 6's, had MVE effort gone the right side of the post he would have got an 8, but a needless booking and trying to send a 98th minute free-kick to Jupiter brings him down a couple of notches

I would have brought Allen on earlier and also Simms. Why you witness a striker score a great header the week before and the don't play him, but instead play a "running out of battery" Haji Wright is very odd from Lampard who ultimately got it wrong.

Still, we were the better team and ultimately will play less well and win games this season.
