Fair challenge.In my estimation, definitely not. The reason 5-3-2 worked so well is because Torp and Rudoni operated high up the pitch almost as if they were wide players (at times).
There’s a reasonably compelling case for 4-4-2. Rudoni has most of his assists from the RW and keeping Simms and Wright up top is more disruptive to opposition defences. Wright up front on his own can get bullied at times.
Paterson’s finish was top drawer but there’s two things I’d like to highlight that aren’t so obvious: First, Thomas being up top made their CB miss his first header in the game to let the ball drop to Rudoni and second, Simms’ positioning in the box occupied the RB who would’ve been marking Paterson, giving him the space and time needed to execute the finish.

Plymouth are as good as gone; they have Sheff U, Boro, us, PNE and Leeds. I’m hoping we relegate them and they get a surprise result v Boro.

Hull are weird, can be awful, have picked up some cracking results though. Admittedly away mainly but their home form is surely balanced out by our miserable 'in the week' away form, which is now becoming a real thing.
I wouldn't call it a must win, we can still get to 74 points if we lose, but obviously every point takes us closer.Collins

I was gonna say this. They’ve won 2 of the last 6 and they weren’t against the teams in 22nd and 19thWhy? They’re drawing games but only winning against the teams around them. The 3 games prior to that was two losses and a draw.
A draw probably won’t help them out by the time they play us. They have Blackburn, Derby, Bristol before playing us and end the season playing WBA away.

It's completely undeniable that they are in the best form they've been in all season. They looked done after they lost to Watford, since then they have lost 1 in 7. 2 of those draws are Boro and Leeds and they are showing more fight than they've showed all season.I was gonna say this. The one thing i wouldn't mess with at all now from now until the end of the season is the defence/keeper. That needs to be locked in.Think we’ll go same again bar Sheaf for Torp and I’m fine with that. I think the work needs to be done on patterns in training not by dropping anyone really. Need to work on how Sheaf and Haji work in this setup.
