Robbins must want a chance of managing in the championship next season rather than being stuck in league 1 with Coventry, Saunders may have made a mistake and will be in league 1 with Wolves next season while Donny are in the championship. You can't blame Mark Robbins for wanting to better himself, I'm sure you all would if given a job opportunity yourselves.

Both have got more potential than us at the moment.

If he does walk out on us it really isn't going to look good on his CV. Thought he was a lot more sensible than that.

Coventry City allow manager Robins to speak to Huddersfield Town '"with great reluctance"

Coventry City have “with great reluctance” allowed Huddersfield to speak to manager Mark Robins.

The 43-year-old, who is five months into a three-year contract, informed CCFC that he wished to explore the possibility of joining the Championship club despite efforts to keep him.

Sky Blues Chief Executive Tim Fisher said: “We have had more than one club interested in Mark in the last few weeks and we have made every effort to ensure he stays with us.

“We talked to him at length today and he met the owner. Once we had done everything we could and it was obvious that he was still interested in talking to Huddersfield, we had no choice other than to let him do so.

“We are just hoping that when he weighs up his options and opportunities, he will see the great progress to date and the support he has from fans and management alike, coupled with the potential in Coventry, and decide to stay.”

Hopefully Robins is very shrewd and plays SISU, stays but gets them to up their goal posts when it comes to loanees.

If he doesn't and he does go.

I have no issue with him.

If he keeps Huddersfield up this season and turns them into a stable mid-top half Championship club then what would it matter? A neutral will see it as him moving to a team in a higher division and won't see it in the same dramatic way as we do.

The way he left Rotherham didn't exactly put us off him, as I said, most of us would have considered it as him trying to further his career....does any of this sound familiar?

Pretty dissapointed about this news, but this is the modern football world we live in. I'd have hoped he'd stick around at least until the end of the season - 5 months is not very long.

It would look good on his cv, he is showing a bit of ambition by going to a better club. It would look a lot worse if he turned down an opportunity like this and stayed to stagnate with a club that isn't going anywhere.

No real need for what? Speaking the truth about how life is.

Why the name calling? Are you one of those childish idiots who cannot debate sensibly and revert to being abusive to try to get a point across?

Stirring up emotions on a football forum of a team that isn't even your own in a time when emotions are running high. Absolute idiot. Just do one.

There were questions on here as to why Mark Robbins would want to leave, I was just giving answers to those questions.

I had an e-mail from this site asking why I hadn't been on here for a while, maybe I should tell them there are repulsive people such as yourself that doesn't give me any enthusiasm for coming on here

Didn't realise you'd edited this. I can debate. I didn't really see the need to debate when you're blatantly taking the piss out of our club though. But hey, he turned you down to stay with us.

I was not taking the piss, as you put it, out of your club. There were members on this site questioning the reason why Mark Robins would leave to go to Huddersfield and I came on to give reasons why he would. How can answering a question that is being asked be twisted into taking the piss out of your club?

Huddles field could, and I hope, get relegated this season, whereas, to link it to you, Saunders was linked with Wolves, who have potential and were misled by the Finnish bloke (can't spell his name!) and under good management, they'd be on the up IMO.

Why don't you go back to your own board for your little club with very few fans which I doubt is going anywhere either....although I doubt if they'll be anyone else for you to talk to. Certainly the poorest side I've seen in a very poor league this season and that's saying something! Can take being insulted by some teams fans but not from a supporter of a tin pot, tiny club without any noteworthy history at all. Jog on.

First of all if I was MR I would look at the way Huddersfield treated Lee Clark.
Secondly I would look at their position in the table.
In all honesty, MR will probably be offered better terms, plus he has probably been told of the real financial state of our club by CCFC owners. This is why he will probable quit.
