I’ll be honest I really want both teams to have their balloon burst with the money they’re spending, but I have a horrible feeling both will do very well.

not so sure, wouldn’t say either of them is better than our squad, and the managers are questionable, just seems like they’re just chucking a random team together and hoping if comes off, both comfortably finish mid table

Wrexham spending a lot but squad doesn't look great and the manager is a proven failure at this level

Is there a ‘don’t give a fuck’ option?

Can't we stick this in the general non CCFC section? I'm not interested.

Birmingham will be right up there. Wrexham mid table.
Think Derby will be very very competitive too.
Norwich also had an excellent window.

Although the league feels generally weaker this season, I feel we’ll have more competition for the play offs if that makes sense?

Wrexham can buy who they want but whilst Phil Parkinson is in charge they’ll be held back. Will be interesting to see how soon Hollywood sees that

Every season "the league is weaker" gets trotted out.
Never the case - agree with you about potential strength in the top half.

You don’t think that’s the case this season? I think the teams are more evenly matched? The last few years I would have said there were some runaways.

Me too, which is why it should be in the general football section so I don't have to read about them.

Ipswich will be runaways.
Leicester still have a VERY good squad (likely to lose a few) and Southampton still strong.
Add Birmingham, Norwich, Sheffield United and by the looks of it, Derby.
Think Swansea have done some good business too.
Hull will be better than most are making out.

Birmingham will eventually finish 6th maybe just outside once they start to gel.

Wrexham will finish about top of bottom 8..oe 16th.

Their dads army wont be able to last the brutality/pace of the championship. And not sure their ovetall squad is strong enough once injuries and suspensions come in.

Their first team is just about mid table at best. Not a single Wrexham player would get in our first team genuinely believe that. Well lets put it this way i wouldnt swap haji wright for their best player Broadhead.

Lewis obrian wouldnt get in our midfield either.

I can see Wrexham getting 139 pts... but Birmingham to beat them with 147 pts.

I'd say we'd all have extremely uninformed opinions on them, glad we're playing Birmingham early-ish, hopefully they haven't gelled. Outside of the 4 games and any potential competition for a play off spot I couldn't care less about them. Both very cringe

Ipswich are the stand out side. Anyone else is a prediction that could be totally wrong.

Wrexham will have a great season that puts them mid table. Birmingham however?

They have spent big time but it isn't easy to spend your way to promotion from the Championship. They're not the first side to try it and they certainly won't be the last. They won't have continuity with their side and will be relying on older players still being able to do what they used to and a manager without experience at this level. They might reach the playoffs. They might be mid table. Let's see if they get a reality check against Ipswich first game of the season.

If their objective is to annoy every other fan in the league then they’ll do incredibly well.

We will still be above them on 151 with our bonus points for beating them home and away.

I've been watching the Blues documentary on Prime. That league is so shit. Feels like we've come a hell of a long way since then. Despite the money they're spending they both look tin pot compared to us.

The vast majority of signings in the Championship would struggle to get on our bench. Most sides look weaker. Even WBA look like a bottom half club now.

It really doesn’t bother me haha. Just seems weird to be annoyed by a thread and then specifically come on and complain about it, when you’ll get notifications. Just don’t click on it and move on. Happy for people to put the thread where they want
