With Gardner taking his leave and Clingan soon to exit next month, I'm very concerned about the lack of quality of our midfield for the rest of the season. We now just have two lightweight teenagers who create very little (Gael and Connor Thomas), an off-the pace journeyman who is woefully short on ability and who has fallen out with the manager (Deegan) and three lightweight wingers who couldn't put in a decent tackle if their lives depended on it (Bell, Baker and McSheffrey aka the three stooges). There is no bite, no physicality and no-one to win the ball and create something in a league where just about every side has at least one ball winning midfield player. With good ole SISU again not coughing up, we'll be lucky to win two more games in the second half of the season if this is our midfield.

Why did we let Osbourne go? A limited player I appreciate but arguably if he was still here he'd now be our best midfielder.

If we have to rely on Baker, Deegan and Bell in a midfield we truly are FUCKED.

Oh how Doyle and Osbourne in the centre with Gray and McIndoe on the flanks sounds wonderful

Deegan won't play since we owe bohemians some money if he plays one more league game for us.

I do honestly believe that the current midfield is the worst I have seen in 53 years of watching Coventry City.
It lacks creativity, pace, muscle and scoring potential. If you look at the assists for city goals this season, not that there are many of them,
you will find DEFENDER Cyrus Christie with 4, followed by DEFENDERS Chris Hussey and Richard Keogh with 2 each. Distinctly lacking in
midfield assists! Maybe the midfielders are too busy scoring goals to be able to make them as well? WRONG. No midfielder has scored more than one goal
and some have not scored at all.
It doesn't matter what personnel Thorn chooses or what bloody formation he opts for, they simply are not good enough! This puts constant added pressure on our defence
and starves our forwards of real scoring opportunities.
