With Maddison now only hear till the end of the season, how often would you play him? Would you play him every game to make the most of his time left here, or would you not play him as much to get used to life without him and bring forward some of our own talent like Sambou, Stevenson and Lameiras?

I personally wouldn't play him as much. I think its a waste of a loan space and despite him being a coventry kid, he doesn't have as much to play for as he has got his big move.
What would you guys do?

Play him, there is an argument to not play him of course but for my opinion he is one of best players so why cut your nose off to spite your face.

Would his heart be in it? Yes why not. He has the chance of promotion in a good team. Why would you not go for it.

probably same as you, however now teams have worked us out and sit deep, preventing AA and JM from running at them Maddisons running in the middle of the park makes him a really useful player to work space

If he is playing well then play him. If he is playing crap then don't play him unless we have to.

I dont want us to play him. Seeing him play and tear teams apart again will anger me more.

This is far too reasoned. Please, at least speculate that Norwich have imposed playing time and hairstyle restrictions...

We have Cole, Hunt, Lamieras and Murphy all vying for the number ten shirt. Problem Maddison will have especially at home games anything less than a decent performance he will get stick off the crowd who will suddenly forget the "he's one of our own" tag. Kids only nineteen I think any audible grunts and groans will affect him

The thing is, most games he hasn't been our best player even when we owned him...

We shouldn't go out of our way to make sure he plays though.

I'll get my tin hat out in preparation for the stick I will probably get from some on here. Would like to see Ruben given a run of 5-7 games in the no10 position. Even if his performance in the first game isn't the best I think he deserves a run, Murphy has been dreadful since Crewe and he's still in the team, would be nice to give a player we own the same commitment.

How do we know they haven't inserted a clause, whereby he can only play a certain number of minutes per game anyway?

Oh right. You can only insert clauses due to injuries. Didn't know that.

Telegraph just showed a graph stating we have a 30% win ratio with him in the team this season and a 43% without him .
Make of it what you will

No, and apologies. It just seemed to me that the implication was there.

play him and bleed him dry in my vote. If he helps us to get promotion then I am happy.

hmmm, I could be wrong here, but doesn't that mean we now have 6 loans ? Armstrong, Murphy, Maddison, 2 new defenders and Bigi ? He might not even get into some match day squads for tactical reasons !!

what happens if he now gets a massive injury - do we keep the money?

I'm sure it's all covered in the fine print - which we will never be privy to. I'd play him for the first home game and see the crowd reaction. After that, I'd play him when needed just like any other player.

I said on another thread that I wasn't impressed with him on saturday, I thought he was showboating playing to impress rather than playing for the team. Now he isn't in the shop window anymore he might even contribute more.
