Despite Mr Dulieu speaking to the press recently and advising that the apparent fire sale of our squad was not going to happen, it got me thinking, aside from a couple of players, we don't really have many that could raise a worthwhile amount.
I thought about the worth of the players and this is what I came up with, let me know if you agree or not.

Kieren Westwood - Worth approx 2.5m, but out of contract
Richard Keogh - 200k
Stephen O'Halloran - 50k, but out of contract
Sammy Clingan - 600k
Lee Carsley - Free, but out of contract
James McPake - 500k
David Bell - 150k
Marlon King - 2m, but out of contract
Freddy Eastwood - 300k
Lukas Jutkiewicz - 800k
Gary Deegan - 100k
Chris Hussey - 200k
Martin Cranie - 650k
Isaac Osbourne - 50k, but out of contract
Aron Gunnarsson - 1.5m, but out of contract
Carl Baker - 180k
Gary McSheffrey - 700k
Ben Turner - 1.5m
Michael McIndoe - Free, but out of contract
Clive Platt - Free, but out of contract
Danny Ireland - Free, but out of contract
Richard Wood - 300k
Jordan Clarke - 150k
Roy O'Donovan - Free
Nathan Cameron - 350k

9 x 'but out of contract'

That's sobering.

As for values. Who could say?

Isn't Carsley going to hang his boots up?

Platt's not out of contract any more. A clause has been activated in his contract so he's here for another year. IMO:

Kieren Westwood - Worth approx 3.1m, but out of contract
Richard Keogh - 200k
Stephen O'Halloran - 50k, but out of contract
Sammy Clingan - 600k
Lee Carsley - Free, but out of contract
James McPake - 500k
David Bell - 150k
Marlon King - 2m, but out of contract
Freddy Eastwood - 100k
Lukas Jutkiewicz - 800k
Gary Deegan - 300k
Chris Hussey - 500k
Martin Cranie - 800k
Isaac Osbourne - 100k, but out of contract
Aron Gunnarsson - 1.5m, but out of contract
Carl Baker - 200k
Gary McSheffrey - 700k
Ben Turner - 1.2m
Michael McIndoe - Free, but out of contract
Clive Platt - Free
Danny Ireland - Free, but out of contract
Richard Wood - 500k
Jordan Clarke - 100k
Roy O'Donovan - Free
Nathan Cameron - 400k

Although Gunnar's contract is up, I think we are still due compensation due to his age as long as we have offered him a new contract.

with respect, I would 1/2 every one of the above unless CCFC get additional investment. We are ripe for rich pickings. Osbourne £50k - 100k? He would not get into the Northampton squad!

Some of those valuations are madness. Turner has had a good 6 months in his career altogether. we could probably get 600k tops for him.

Where do folks get the idea Westwood is worth millions from?
1 million tops. Very few goalies get big fees at our level as there are always plenty available all over the world. Clubs can risk one from a foreign league without too many fears about adjusting to a style of play. doesn't apply to a keeper.
As we are Coventry we always allow our players to go for less than their worth [even if he is under contract]
Westwood will go to warm the bench of a Premier league side and like Kirkland his career could slide from then on. He really would be better off staying here, but money talks.

I agree with Oakey regarding Westwood , He is a good (not brilliant ) goalie ,would be sad to see him go but this is the easiest position to fill and we will easily find a more than adequate replacement .
But he might stay anyway as he would not automatically be a 1st choice in any premiership side ( apart from Spurs ! )

I'd be looking at 10 million for the lot.

The guys are right about westie. I bet he had a 500k price tag on deadline day and still nobody took him. I think he will move to another championship team next season which he may live to regret especially when we WIN THE LEAGUE :-D

All conjecture and you can see that some are undervalued there and others overvalued.
truth is compared to squads elsewhere in this league and AB said it on many occasion - we have a decent squad.
Recent results and early season results suggest that clearly.
