A serious question...

How much would Sisu consider as a decent price on their failed investment?

Sisu purchased the club for nothing and has been pushing the debt around.

There hasn't really been any cash injection of any significant amount.

Only assets are Ryton, players and hopefully an academy. Plus the golden share. A historic brand?

On that basis what would they accept?

An offer to take the debt on and they walk away? Or are they seriously thinking a £70m bid would do it?

It's a very intriguing area of what the club is seriously valued at.

whatever the figure is it will be unreasonable, I think the couple of million estimate is top price, we're probably not worth that.

Didn't OSB clear this one up for us. The club basically is worth nothing. And didn't sisu basically buy it for nothing with everyone having to give up their shares in the club?

So in short they haven't sold the club by now because it is worthless. They need to create value to then sell it on. And OSB quoted building or attaining a ground was a good way to do it.

Sorry OSB if I got that wrong or misquoted you.

This is sisu we're talking about. We all know City is worth what they paid for it, but they have, either here or there taken on the debt that was already there.

Maybe one way to do it is give sisu an option of 10% back per promotion. Then they have to do no work and just make money if ccfc are successful. Maybe that's one way?

my guess between 3-6 million would be enough if the bid was serious..... as a hedge fund they they can invest that in what they are good at and not a sports team.....

Interesting question. Not 100% sure of the answer.

If it was around the £5m mark, I'd pray for a Euromillions win of £30m plus, buy the club, get rid of SISU and work on pest control.

If, based on the responses above, the club is worth very little - which I tend to agree with, SISU may take an offer of a few million above what it's worth in the short term.. Presumably they would weigh that up against carrying on running it at close to cost neutral, with the bonus of selling the odd nugget now and then. However, I assume that this would only happen if they believe that they can't win serious £££££££ in court battles, or broker a favourable deal with Wasps.

I think they would sell for £1 and for new owners to take on the debt.

We would then have to negotiate a long term rent deal with Wasps, unless CCC will grant planning permission for a new stadium somewhre which would be preferable.

Parachute payments, if they own their ground (not sure TBH ) then their geographical
Position just outside London, will mean they're sitting on a gold mine.
Would have thought they'd be worth more than 65 million, didn't WBA just get sold for
130 million, and that's West Midlands.

It's impossible for outsiders to estimate what the club is worth for Sisu. It's not their money that's been invested and they are not really effected by the clubs profit or loss.
Sisu make their money as a percentage of the assets they manage and we have no idea how much that asset (the club) is valued in their books. Even the loans are assets managed by Sisu and more loans equals higher payments to Sisu. It's confusing as they are not paid by the club (they are paid by their clients) so OSB and other financial geeks have no money trail to follow and analyse.

The first question is how much does sisu make yearly on managing the investments in the club? An extension to that question is how much would they make if they are to manage investments in a new stadion?
Add the two together and you have their best case projected yearly income. Multiply by 5 or 6 and you have the price Sisu would find attractive.
BUT that is not the price for the shares in the club!

The second question is then how much will the share owners want for their shares and to write off the loans?

All I know is that it's way too complicated for me.

Just going by the press reports and the fact that pogba cost 20 mill more than Watfords entire set up, after they beat them.

Yes but the earlier poster may not be off the mark by quoting a huge amount. Remember SISU actually inherited debt - so if they sold for nothing it would depend on the new owners taking the debt on.

I've no idea who the debt was owed too, or how much it is now. Maybe OSB could fill us in?

I don't see how there is value in the football club. We have no assets as such, so from a business point of view what is there to buy? No stadium, no academy site and Ryton isn't worth that much surely? I just don't see what investors will want to buy which worries me more than anything else.

There is more chance of me swimming the Atlantic underwater without taking a breath than SISU selling this club.
We have to accept they are here for the long term until they have built something they can sell.
Once most supporters accept they are here for the foreseeable the quicker they accept that we have to move away to build to sell

Sources close to the club have quoted prices of 70 million as has already been said. In reality the club is worthless, its possibly now in a worse position than when the club was about to go into administration. The problem for me is they will not sell, they don't have to sell because the model they are using is self funding. Self funding means the club will only be successful if you have 25000 fans paying to watch every other week, and that's only if they allow the proceeds to be invested on the pitch.
The only other way to get them out is to starve them of revenue, this will deprive them of their income which could force them to sell if their propping the club up. Only thing with this scenario is as others have said is the possibility of the club being lost for ever through liquidation. I don't think a petition is going to work although it could get our plight highlighted again on a national stage, the owners are pig headed and will do what they want too, look at their track record of appealing court decisions when various judges have told them their wrong. These parasite's have no intention of going any where in the near future until a decision has to be made over ground leases and judicial reviews, lets just hope some one with more financial acumen than Joe Elliot is their when the time comes, however good their intentions may be, to see through the bullshit promises and grand plans of potential new owners. Whatever happens in the end the club will be in the doldrums for a few years after as the rebuilding of all the infrastructure they have hived of to other party's as well as the playing side will have to be rebuilt. It shows how much the fans mean when we as customers have to pay more than other fans for our own tickets, unfortunately its another few years of these mobsters before we can get it all sorted. PUSB

Well, that number is clearly just to discourage anyone from entertain the idea of taking over the club. Especially anyone with prior dealings with sisu (Hoffman, Elliott etc.).

A dream scenario would be a chinese billionaire/consortium wanting to do large property investments in the city. He/they could buy the club in a sort of 'share swap' deal and run it as a pet or vanity project.
The chinese would take over the club and sisu's investors would get shares in (e.g.) a new 5 star hotel.
I am sure the council would change attitude towards the club and do everything possible to help find a spot for a new stadium as long as any non-matchday activities are not conflicting/competing with ACL.
