...Obviously it will depend on the status of the Arena (and hopefully) the status of the club within it when the current deal with Ricoh ends in 2015....

...But Derby have just done a 10 year deal @ £7m for the naming rights of pride park.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24930477

Derby are a bigger club, bigger ground, bigger attendances, higher level....and £7m is a record deal for a championship ground

So, what price a new deal to name the "ricoh"?? £5m for 10 years??

Wasn't it originally 10M for 10 years.
Derby ground is same size I thought.

I thought Derby was 35000 but according to wiki its 33500.....so only a little bigger.

Also, wiki confirms what you said...£10m for 10 years for the Ricoh.....so I guess the BBC article on derby stating that £7m is a record must assume the Ricoh does not count as its a "complex" with shops, hotel, casino etc.

Its still a good indicator though....and with less than 2 years to run on the current deal, surely its on the minds of all parties involved in the current freehold/leasehold/tenancy/shit-storm wrangle....

According to this they have already renewed until 2025.

Doesn't say how much for though.

Lets be honest by 2025 we'll either be back playing at the Ricoh, have a new ground or most people will have given up. Can't take another 12 years of this!

I was up there yesterday was buzzing.

Funny thing is they are having a Brokers convention all things money!
I wonder if Sisu might have a pasting table in the car park

The £10m was just the stadium. The Exhibition Hall was originally sponsored by Jaguar (who were supposed to be the sponsor of the whole lot originally). I do wonder whether JLR, who are in a stronger financial position, would be interested in another deal from 2025!

That said, its attractiveness is certainly lower than it was in 2005.

Pride park has FAR LESS commercial use than the ricoh, the ricoh has all sorts going on, many more potential visitors per year, personally think ricoh is worth more than pride park, i dont think ccfc are worth more than derby of course
