So I see it like this....

Simms, I highly doubt we will recoup what he cost us. So I'd say if we got an offer anywhere in the region on £1m I'd take it. We won't get much more and it's better to take something than to let him run down his contract, losing money on wasted wages, and get nothing for him at all. Any offer, I'd seriously consider.

BTA, I would personally hold on to. Granted, he's not a 20 goal a season starter, but, as shown against Middlesbrough, can come on off the bench and look threatening. We can't just offload every player that's not played minutes, we need a deeper squad. I see BTA as a half decent squad player so would hold on for now....... unless a silly offer came in which is unlikely.

Wright, I imagine we could get between £10-15m for him. Unfortunately though I imagine it'll be to a Leicester or Southampton. And it'll be written in the stars that he WILL switch it on in a crucial game after that pathetic showing over 2 legs for us. I can see it coming back and biting us in the arse.

If we were offering simms away for £1m majority of the league would be interested

If only you could transplant some of Bassetts workrate and general shit housery into Simms.

What a good player Simms would be.

Simms needs someone next to him. When we played 2 up front, Simms and Assante, we won 9 out of 10 games.

People forget how quickly you can develop at Bassette's age and need to give him a chance.

Callum Wilson looked shite at the end of his first season albeit mainly in cameos. Came back the next season as the best striker in the league

Wilson spent time at Kettering and Tamworth for 4 months in 2011/2012 (roughly the same age as Bassette is now) scoring 2 in 20 games.

Just cannot see a world where any club at Simms and thinks £5m is a good deal/worthwhile gamble.

Maybe a money mad team like Birmingham may look at his goals last season?

If we flip BTA for 3m odd and offload Simms we’ll need two good centre forwards for £6m. That’s a difficult ask. I’d keep BTA and have a 2-3m punt at a back up.

Kwame Poku leaving Peterborough this pre season. He's really come on this season even in a team that's struggled, and still only 23. I'd definitely sell BTA to fund this signing, although Peterborough always drive a hard deal.

Doug will flip BTA for slightly more than paid

Bassette is going nowhere other than a loan

Haji unless someone comes in with 15 plus is also going nowhere

Simms is the one we are actively looking to shift out, our initial outlay was only 3.5 million, not hit any of the add ons, so if anyone is to come in with 5 or 6 hes being dropped off there

Do you think Doug will try flip BTA this summer?

This must be a wind up, Poku is 1) not a striker and 2) available on a free

simms is 100% gone, if you can’t get a single min in a play off semi final then you know your not in the managers plans, bassette gets a good pre season he’ll get a better chance, wright first choice bassette/ BTA back up, wright will get 19/20 goals if he stays fit, and I wouldn’t expect a big name centre forward coming in, Lampard signed waghorn and Marriott at derby, wouldnt Mind seeing someone like an Adam Armstrong type of player,

I think a fee will still be involved as he's under 24

Let's not forget Gyokeres on his loan spell from Brighton. He looked bang average. I couldn't believe when we signed him. I couldn't understand what Robins was playing at. Proved me wrong.

I think it helped Wilson playing alongside Leon Clarke. Could pairing Bassette with a Jamie Vardy esque player help him grow and learn?

Look at this goal by BTA for Ghana. He might just be worth keeping. Simms on the other hand

BTA wasn't a terrible signing at all. Decent option as a rotation striker, and for a forward with the experience that he has, relatively cheap.

I don't think there should be any clamour to get rid, although he probably wants to move for more playing time himself.
