It’s a dull watch. Mirrors my relationship with football. I have no love for the game outside of my Coventry obsession other than a passing interest with England. I've never even heard of the centre half who partnered Stones last night. I'd simply stop watching football if Coventry ceased to exist.No me neither.

Or maybe around this time of the first substitution?true, but how do you do that when, for example, you’ve got Bellingham and Foden both outstanding 10s, an abundance of wide(r) players like Grealish, Saka, Bowen, Gordon, even Palmer and Eze to a degree - how do you fit them in but still stay solid in midfield and at the back?
last night he tried something different with TAA as a more attacking CDM, but who could also drop in at RB if Walker was pulled in to cover Guehi in central defence - with one eye on defending that was a pretty attack minded decision, and for 30 minutes it worked but then it looked like the fear of losing got to the players a bit and they forgot how to play exciting attacking football the way they were at the start.
They can do it under Southgate because they showed that in the first half, and hopefully with first game nerves out the way they will open up more as the tournament goes on, but even the pundits have come up short when trying to figure out the best formation to fit in all the talent - I’m not sure there is an actual solution…
