13 days of the transfer window left. Saddlebrains made to look a fool.

What do we think we’ll end up with?

Days are ticking by, confident we'll still do some good business but maybe fall short of the 4 he wants. Going for 2 perms and 1 loan.

Guessing 2 of each. Only got one loan in so far, and don't expect us to be spending much more money.
Maybe £4-5 million between two permanent signings

Gone two of each myself. Just think time May run out on a couple and we go back to some loan targets we had.

We already have Binks on loan, so think we might bring 2 more in, therefore leaving us with the option to bring in 2 more loans in January. Given that I presume the intention is to also bring in another 2 permanent signings before the transfer window shuts.

We really need the midfielders, the 4th striker is a nice to have and the LCB somewhere in between. So whoever/how many we sign I expect it to reflect that priority.

2 Total for me, we'll huff and puff but just fall short of 3 or 4 sadly.

We will get all 4 that Robins wants. The Hamer sale opening up other options. And as we have already done. We will get the best quality player that we can in. I see 2 perms and 2 loans.

Think MR is struggling with perms so is waiting on the Premiership loan market. We'll probably get 2 in.

And why did you feel you the need to throw in a jab at a fellow forumite ? Couldn't you have left the question on its own ? I've ignored him but it sounds like he's already embarassed himself enough without you continuing to add to it. Unnecessary comment.

Will be 3 now i feel

But as i think it may be 2 perm 1 loan

Lewis O'Brien being made available has made MR sit up and take notice apparently. We wont get near the apparent 10 million they want outright but a deal structured similar to Simms is deffo a possibility from what I've been told

CM, CAM/ST, CB is my guess

Fuck knows whats happened with the Barnsley pair

Nothing inside wise just gut opinion from little titbits that get thrown, i think they've priced us out of Kitching and Robins prefers O'Brien to Styles.

O'Brien will have many, many suitors however as you can imagine so maybe Styles can be one.

Notice they both start for Barnsley again

A last minute couple of loans to tide us over the season wouldn’t be the end of the world. Rather that than we get our pants pulled down on a lemon.

For LCB and the 4th striker, possibly RWB, I agree. Not for replacing Hamer though.

Yeah even there if the right players is available. What about O’Brien for example? I know nothing about him really but he seems well rated as a replacement. Would you rather him on loan or we drop £3M on someone who is a bit crap?

I think we'll get all 4, but wouldn't be that bothered if we only brought in a CM on loan until we can source the right players. A new standout talent might emerge we can snap up in January. No point blowing the best part of 10 mill for the sake of it.

Let's wait for injury news. But I think it's likely robins will get 3 in minimum regardless

He’ll be in very high demand but we stand as good a chance as anyone else. My one concern there would be Forest charging a small fortune just to loan him out.

Like I said elsewhere I’d also find it odd if we don’t have multiple players in mind in case one deal doesn’t happen.

What a statement signing that would be.
I know people are very much doom and gloom at the minute around certain players but it’s going to take time to gel, just like clubs like Notts Forest etc who had big overhauls. I’m actually really excited about the transfers we’ve made and looking forward to seeing us gel and make it work.

Out of our starting lineup the only ones I’m not too excited about is Da Silva and Eccles. If we can bring in a solid centre mid like O’Brien and also get Styles who can play multiple positions including LWB, DM and AM that would be good.

Luxuries would be a LCB but not a necessity seeming as we haven’t seen what Binks is like yet, Cashin, Kitchen or Humphrys would be good and then an AM as we can’t be overly reliant on Palmers injury record or when O’Hare will be ready would be another luxury.

Overall things are looking good, the sales of Gyokeres and Hamer is only going to build for our future and no longer being such a poor funded club

PUSB!

Think I’d prefer Cashin now anyways who have openly said they want £3m which is what we offered for Kitchin which was rejected
