On the Beeb last night, they were talking about only 2,000 England fans at the game, but from the clips of the crowd and the flags strewn around I thought it looked a good few more. Has CJ posted anything, or anybody know a reported different figure? P.S. Hope they all had their anti-midge spray!

This 2000 reported is purely sales to Travel club members, of which there’s only 6k-7k anyway. The 2000 figure doesn’t include those who bought tickets directly from UEFA. This happens all the time at tournaments, like at Euro 2016 most stadiums were 60-70% England fans, despite there only being 6k there officially!
Hope all the Sky Blues our there following England had a belter, I’m not half regretting my decision not to go to the World Cup..

As I put on the other thread Belgium only sold 311 yesterday. Not much more than a hundred for the second round too.

Meanwhile the USA have sold the most. This is rubbish. They’re mostly Mexicans that live there.

Hope you're enjoying it out there CJ ? Looks trouble free. Maybe not as dangerous as we were led to believe ? But don't let Donald Trump hear about all those Mexicans,he'll pull his hair out, or his hair piece !

It’s been brilliant so far mate. Met some of the individuals involved in the trouble two years ago and had a few drinks with them. They said the documentaries are rubbish. So much so that one bloke believed actors had been used for some of the interviews. For this tournament and for the next Euros they’ve been ordered to take a back seat and not cause any trouble. Too much at stake. That order came from the very top too. FWIW he did say they wouldn’t be interested in having a scrap anyway.

That's great CJ. I heard Putin gave the Ultras a zero tolerance warning, so I imagine that scared them off ?
The pubs in Cov city centre on Sunday were rammed, great atmosphere. I'll be down next to your grandparents tomorrow, if you want me to tell them your fine I can pop round ? They may be worried ?

I think putin has full control over the ultras and wouldn’t be surprised if they’re the same heavies he uses domestically

I get that impression. Some of the people that have been overly helpful here I would guess are part of it. Some proper mean looking geezers have been hanging around bus stops and metro stations and walking people to stadiums. Different job roles this time around. Guessing it’ll be the same at the Euros.

That's if he's sober CJ, if you've been following his recent alcohol intake posts!

Saw your gran today. Told her your fine and all is well. She said she knows you'll be okay, as your smart and clever, so she didn't seem worried. Your grandad was up the road on crutches, she said where is he ? He was having a sit down ! Hear your staying till England get knocked out, could be a long stay then hopefully !

They took ages to check it at the entrance despite me already submitting the correct paperwork to FIFA. By the time we got in it was too late. Haven’t seen the teacher since that day honest!

You have to submit a form and photo to FIFA 20 days before the tournament to get your flag in. The form has to have everything on the flag (words, numbers, images and symbols) described both in English and translated to Russian.

They’re clueless. The lady in front had to stand there holding a standard New Zealand flag for 10 minutes whilst they decided if it was allowed or not.

They're probably worried they'll mysteriously disappear if they let a flag in they aren't supposed to.
