What does everyone think? I'm aware he's on a long term contract but surely if we're in the bottom four by Christmas and out of all cup competitions he must be sacked?

my own view is pressley will be with us as long as fisher and waggott are they are bound together, sadly i see relegation to league 2 almost inevitable only when these 3 are gone and sisu of course will the club move forward again

I would at least give him till Monday to see if he can turn it around and if he can't I'd sack the useless bugger

I'd send him packing now

We have some winnable fixtures coming up now, I'd say the next tough game is Swindon on 10th January. Failure to pick up points against the likes of Colchester, Walsall, Port Vale, Fleetwood, Doncaster, Chesterfield over the next month will surely see him being shown the door.

Now. The man doesn't know it yet but he's not a football manager. Passionate yes, loyal maybe, nice guy probably, but a football manager? Not in a million years.

Which is a good enough reason for him to be gone now and not be given the chance to throw away another 21 points down the drain

Colchester, Port Vale, Walsall and Doncaster are all poor teams, Chesterfield are on an alarming slide after a good start. Fleetwood are pretty poor away from home.

A competent manager should be picking up a good amount of points from this run of games.

Next weekend is a huge game, playing another team down where we are and potential to drop into the relegation places. If that happens SISU need to be calling SP in for a very serious meeting about how he's going to get us out of this mess. If he's not up to the job we need someone in place ahead of the transfer window.

You're forgetting we're Coventry City Sleeping Giants, PL in waiting. We should beat every team in this league at least 4-0.

I thought Pressley would be a good manager but sadly he has turned out to be pretty poor to be honest. We all know he has had no real help from the crappy owners but we could end up in League Two next season if results don't pick up.And so I hate to say it but we have to bring in yet another manager or else the drop looms !

The league table suggests we're also a poor team.

We're performing poorly but we're also performing below are ability.

Look at the transformation when Robins came in a few seasons back, we were performing extremely poor when he came in but in a period of a few months we became a team who would have challenged for autos given a whole season under Robins.

The squad isn't great but it is also better than the league table suggests, give a competent manager this group of players and he should be picking up a good amount of points from this set of games.

He should go now, but we know it's not happening. We're watching death in progress, everything that Jimmy Hill done for us has become undone under SISU's tenure, and no-one will do anything about it, what can we do? fuck all! It's a tragedy!

SP's record will show that he can't handle these types of teams, his tactical prowess has leaked, or it never existed. We're screwed.

I see him as lacking.
But not as lacking as our owners.
But the most lacking are certain professional footballers who represent the club.

The first thing Waggot and Fisher need to do is establish whether Pressley (a) Understands why the club keeps losing games and (b) has a plan to deal with it. If he doesn't I think it would be hard to keep him on.

I like the bloke and respect that he's had worked under some of the worst circumstances of any Cov manager, for that reason he deserves some more time.

He didn't. Or did I miss the 10 point reductions in 2 of his seasons? The move to Northampton that crippled the cash flow?

Thorn got us relegated and they kept him on. Same will happen with SP. Relegation to league 2 and they will keep him

He will be here until after the January transfer closes as

Sisu will sell anybody they can again and he never says anything about it
A new manager will want funds to spend and that is not in the business plan

We're not performing much below our ability. We're a midtable squad, we're only 3 points of midtable. Perhaps we overachieved in that unbeaten run and underachieved in the poor run.

Robins first 11 was much better than this one and had far better balance to it, more experience and more leaders. It had an very strong spine (Murphy-wood-Jennings/Bailey-DMC, and the likes of sheff and baker) He also immediately strengthened keys areas as soon as he arrived so it wasn't entirely the same squad.

Well thats your opinion that we're a midtable, imo we should be finishing at least top 10 in this league and we're a far away off that.

Absolutely it was a better squad, if Robins had the whole season from start to finish we would have been challenging for auto. This current squad couldn't do that, but were people saying that after the 4-1 defeat at Shrewsbury, that we had a really strong squad for the league? Or were they all shit and poor quality after that game?

After the 4-1 loss at Shrewsbury you wouldn't have found one Cov fan who would have said, yea we have a really good squad for this division. But the reality was we did, it just wasn't being displayed on the pitch because of the manager. Similar problem here, the results and performances are extremely poor but don't let that fool you into thinking these are bad players, they are just being mismanaged.

It was only today a Notts County fan said imagine if we had a forward line of Jackson, Madine and Nouble to choose from, they are relying on Shaun Harrad who is a 29 yr old who has played majority in the Conference and Garry Thompson a 33 yr old winger turned emergency striker.

Were any of those players you mentioned mentioned performing to there ability before Robins under Thorn and Shaw?

Robins came in, took an under performing squad and got them performing to their ability and we need someone now to do the same now.

Aren't you forgetting Crewe, the bottom club beat us and so did a non-league side. I don't think we can rely on winning ANY fixture.

This situation is really difficult, I have met SP on several occasions and he is such a nice bloke, you can also tell from his interviews he is loyal and passionate about our Club and most importantly he wants to change things and bring the good times back..

However looking at the bigger picture we are now in a relegation battle again, we are on an alarming slide and we look as if on the pitch we have no answer to the problems teams are posing us.. I think personally we have a decent squad which should be minimum top ten in this division, but it's not happening..

I would be willing to give SP until the JPT game at Ashton Gate, which effectively our season is now riding on.. I think the longest we should give the Manager is just before Christmas, if by then we have evaluated the situation and we are no better off or possibly worse then it would be deep regret for me to insist that SP would have to go, I hope it doesn't come to this.

Fisher, Waggott and Pressley are all as accountable as one another for the state we find ourselves in at present. Waggott's recruitment, not tying players down or getting the correct replacements in, Fisher for his involvement in anything and everything; the man is a walking disaster. Everything he touches turns to shit. As for Pressley, he is an abysmal football manager. If he didn't speak so positively about his love for the club and standing by us through the debacle which has ensued over the past couple of seasons, fans would've turned on him a lot earlier. We owe him fuck all, certainly not a four year contract for being a nice guy and that he is a nodding fucking dog.

But that's the thing CCFC, madine (here for one month only), Nouble and Jackson (on paper) are good strikers, but our midfield and back four and goalkeepers are poor/average. It's a squad that had no pace, still lacks physicality on midfield, lacks some experience in the middle of the pitch, has no natural width. The squad is completely unbalanced.

I tell what robins would do if he came in today, he'd get 2 defensively strong centr mid'a and bomb the likes of Barton and fleck out, and he's pack the midfield and play one up top. Functionality over style is needed in this league.

Our last cleansheet in the league was 5 September, even with the strikers on paper we haven't got enough goals in the squad to compensate for conceding an average of nearly 2 a game.
