Just wondering if everyone can remember everything in regard to the matches they have seen, say this season, goals, scorers, opponents etc.?

Feel my memory is fading. Used to remember everything.

There are some City matches this season that I have been to that I don't even recall at all.

I do remember the Stevenage match and the Yeovil and Luton games, but it becomes more foggy after that.

Is it just me or is it a general malaise?

Older age is doing that to me, a week after the Grimsby game i couldnt remember the last time we had beaten someone 4-0 at home, happened a lot this season, mixing games up, scores, players. Used to be able to remember the tiniest detail of a game, now im struggling to remember who we played last week, general malaise, lazy mind or just old age, not sure, but i dont like it :0

I can recall a lot of games pretty well, albeit im only 29 so a spring chicken compared to most of you lot .
It may also have something to do with me being almost Statto like with useless football facts and trivia.

My memory is awful, when I was a kid I was like the rain man and could reel it all off but now I could probably tell you our scorers but no idea about who scored against us for certain teams. Some stand out like Rhead at Lincoln, Eisa but without looking couldn't name all of Yeovils.

I used to be like that.

Until about 5 years ago I could recite every cup final result from 1965 upwards, the teams and the result.

The other day I forgot Nazon ever played for us.

I used to literally remember what every goal for & against during the 89-90 season was like plus the goalscorers (probably cuz I used to watch the official footy league video so annoyingly often from that season like a right saddo)

Terrible now, the post Premier League era has generally blended into one. Though I do recall odd games from individual seasons. I could barely tell you anything about Coleman's reign.

The less said about Coleman's reign, the better.

Banging a few in for Oldham now isn't he! !
Yes ageing is cruel started for me around 55, I blame myself partly as have done little to prevent /halt it.
So maybe there is an excuse for Clive Stuart and Geoff? B-)

Well I thought that macdonald had scored on Friday night when it was Mcnulty, but apart from that I can’t remember much apart from one team the other week had a bearded centre back who looked good and another had a tall black chap who also looked good. I struggle to remember our players nowadays and don’t know who we are playing most of the time

If you can prevent or halt ageing then you're going to be a very rich man indeed!

Yes same for me. Post premier league just been a nightmare and number if games seen by me dramatically dropped for various reasons.
Do remember that 6-2 game though at Highfield rd! Just about only highlight since relegation from Prem.

I'm crap at remembering stuff these days, I used to be able to recall facts about football, music and the like without a second thought. Now I can start a sentence and forget what I'm saying half way through. It's shit and annoying but I guess it's old age. I might start doing crosswords again as I think they used to help keep my mind sharp.

went to the first few games of last season and remember them all being shit. so last season everyone is forgiven. shit team, shit players covers it. except for one game i can recall.
this season in contrast I feel more connected to the better players i have watched, so memory of goals scored are better. and we actually score goals this season. but agree at 56 memory is a bit rubbish, but pre-match beers don't help.

I've just made a contribution in the tickets thread stating they go off sale on match day ,which they do.
Believing it was today after already checking the weather for 'Tommorows ' match.

Only the Stoke game really sticks in my head this season. The occasion and result helped.

The other day I had a real senior moment.

On top of of our toilet cistern there is a pump action type bottle of anti bacterial gel and the other day I kept pressing the top of gel bottle wondering why the toilet wouldn't flush.

I forget who we have just played when asked sure it is to do with still not being accustomed to the teams we are playing.
As for our own players if they stopped changing them every season I might have a chance in recognising some of them.

i forgot all about Jody Jones.
I can't ever remember locking my car or house these days. I can't remember the date and sometimes what day it is. I can't remember whether it's black bin, blue bin, green bin day, or even which day the bin men come. I can't remember whether I've renewed my tax disc or when the insurance is due .
....but I do remember THAT Huckerby goal....

Between 96-97 and 99-00 I can pretty much remember every game in detail thanks to the Season Review VHS's the club used to release. Once we got relegated from the PL, they seemed to stop producing them apart from 01-02 and 03-04.

I've always been impressed by people who seem to be able to pluck a game out of their mind and say who the scorers were and how people played a certain game. I've never been able to do it myself.

Literally the only four games I ever remember are Wembley last year, United away and quite randomly 2-1 vs Sunderland when it kicked off between Stephen Hughes and Dean Whitehead and then a game at home to Norwich where Chris Birchall scored from 30 yards

I remember the games where we score good goals. I remember the games we lost because of mistakes. And I remember games like Yeovil away this season because I took my two youngest and they spent most of the game sunbathing.....and it took ages to get a drink and something to eat at HT.

But I remember the long drive home after a defeat more than the gane itself.

But I still remember games from years ago.
