Should have supported Leamington or Warwick apparently if it was based on distance alone - thank goodness it isn't.

Born in Gulson Rd Hospital and lived in George St, Hillfields as a small nipper, but after the age of 5, I lived 123 miles from HR, (Essex) then from 5 until 10 years old, I only lived 33 miles from HR (Birmingham). Then I was moved back to Cov and lived all over the City over the years, so I can't really pinpoint anywhere in particular. I've had over 30 addresses in my lifetime! I now currently live 155 miles away from where HR was.

1 The Ricoh Arena (0.5 miles)
Home To: Coventry City (former ground)
2 The Oval Ground (2.1 miles)
Home To: Bedworth United
3 Highfield Road (2.5 miles)
Home To: Coventry City (former ground)

Hence was well chuffed when Ricoh was built and we played there.

About 130 miles. Lived in Blackpool most of my life (born in Cov) and its been especially difficult seeing the town overtake Cov in status and successes in recent years.

Born in Gulson Road Hospital but moved to Nuneaton at 18 months...

My grandfather (mother's side) was a season ticket holder and lived in Wyken (Clovelly Road). He also played for Coventry Rugby in the pre WW1 years.

My grandmother (father's side) was born in Highfield Road. Every match day her and her twin brother used to have their address pinned to their coats in case they got lost and they ducked under the turnstiles to watch the game.

I grew up too far away from HR - but spent Saturday afternoons listening to the roar from my Grandfathers house in Wyken!

Born in Meriden (Centre of England don't you know) Lived first in Wyken but did not get involved with CCFC till much later when a school friend took me with him and his dad to HR. That school friend was a lad called Allen Slack......If you are on here..... I hate you for the stress which you have inflicted upon me!

Hello All

I checked the box saying only show current English 92 to filter out the local teams, the Sphinx being the nearest, and these were my results. Nearly choked on my pint then realised what had happened..

1 St Andrew's (17.2 miles)
Home To: Birmingham City

2 Villa Park (18.7 miles)
Home To: Aston Villa

3 The Walkers Stadium (20.7 miles)
Home To: Leicester City

4 The Hawthorns (21.8 miles)
Home To: West Bromwich Albion

5 The Bescot (24.4 miles)
Home To: Walsall

6 Sixfields (25.7 miles)
Home To: Northampton Town, Coventry City, Northampton Town, Coventry City

Without selecting current English 92. That's better.

At HR, few pints before the game in a variety of public houses including The Biggin Hall, Bulls Head, Alhambra, Mercers Arms, Elastic Inn, Brewer and Baker, Foresters, then a nice leisurely stroll through the streets of Hillfields.

At Ricoh, few pints in Biggin Hall, Bulls Head and or Cov and North Warks Cricket Club midday, then up the Casino for a few San Miguels, and an obligatory £20 spin on the tables.

Miss em both
1 Allard Way (0.2 miles)
Home To: Coventry Copsewood

2 Sphinx Drive (0.2 miles)
Home To: Coventry Sphinx

3 Highfield Road (0.9 miles)
Home To: Coventry City (former ground)

4 The Ricoh Arena (3.3 miles)
Home To: Coventry City (former ground)

In the sixties, we lived in Earlsdon, 1.9 miles away from Highfield Rd. It's 3.6 miles from the Ricoh.
