For the stand out players:

Armstrong
Vincelot
Stokes (although credit goes to Pressley)
Turner

Undecided:

Murphy
Lorentszon
Hunt
Cole
Rose
Ricketts
Kent

Gash:

Ramage
Bigi
MAF
Ellford-Ay

Good:

Armstrong
Stokes
Ricketts (at Rb)
Vincelot
Turner
Cole (looking better now)
Murphy (apart from last few games)
Kent

Too soon to tell:

Lorentzson
Rose
Hunt
Ramage (although not been impressed so far)

Not worked:

Bigi
Fortune
Elford-Alliyu

Not sure why we extended Bigi's loan, must be better options. Ramage isn't ready to play, feel he is in out of desperation. Lorentzson & Rose both had decent debuts. Hunt looked like he could be decent with a bit more fitness.

Let's put it this way, much better than the last few seasons.

Majority have looked decent. Obvious ones that haven't have already been mentioned as being duff.

Mixed bag so far some loans that did not work out have been missed from lists above too.....Luke Williams/Bryn Morris.
A lot are fairly new so could turn things around though but at the moment better than recent past.....but that is not saying much!

A much more realistic assessment than the OP.

Spoke to a Blues fan about Ramage last night, they had him a few seasons back. Agreed he was shocking, is it a Cov thing we have to shoot ourselves in the foot every way possible?
Let's just hope we can put January behind us and push on and not be talking about a 2 year plan in a few weeks with another season written off before the spring has sprung.

Everyone's forgotten Bryn Morris. Which has to go in the "not worked/crap" section.

though the fact he can play left sided centre back probably went back too soon, also it was Middlesbrough that called him back now at walsall...

for me Cole, Kent and rickets have been good signings. Kent despite all of the criticism was a good impact player off the bench, we don't have any pace since he left.

Williams was brought in by Pressley, Mowbray sent him back.

I think he means Adam Jackson, I'd forgotten about him.

Middlesborough called him back because he wasn't getting enough game time, they sent him straight out on loan to York. Not sure he would be the answer to our defensive problems.

Can't really include him though, we only did that so we could look at him in some U21 fixtures.

You also have to include Tudgay and Johnson and the money spent on these two would have been better spent elsewhere.

Agree RE Tudgay (not because he's not capable compared to MAF but he's obviously not in his plans), but not so sure about Johnson. He had a plan to change his training schedule hoping we'd get more game time out of him than we did. Also, do we know how much he costs in wages?

I guess you didn't really rate him anyway though did you when he did play

Pretty much bang on how I see it. Can't believe I forgot Lameiras. Bryn Morris wasn't here long enough to judge.

In general they've been OK but 2 of the most crucial ones haven't worked out and it's hurt us.

MAF because TM intimated he wanted to play a bit more direct in the winter months and he couldn't do it because MAF has been appalling.

And ramage because we're so short of quality a CB and he's been appalling as well.

No manager gets 100% positive outcomes from signing players. However, Mogga is getting more right than wrong.....and considering the our track record on signings, it's years since we've had a manager who has done that!
