Is there any way we can legitimise our voice?

We can do some polls of members on here and get some numbers. I do wonder if the local journalists genuinely care about the future of the club.

How could it work nick?

I did a series of polls in the summer. I put together some data in a PowerPoint format.

CJ said he’d look at it - never had any feedback

Neil said people on forums are idiots and not real fans

I mean for people that are reasonable and take an interest.
The other idea is to try and get someone like Dion involved

Suppose the next step is to call the trust on the radio and get Pete back on to question them... love to hear Neil acknowledge the indemnity clause

Easy just fooking turn up at St Andrews and shout the lads and Robins on!
They are “OUR TEAM” as we won’t have one to come back to Coventry if you don’t.
Look at the sweat and graft they put in especially Dabo wanting to run every inch to get a win.
Too easy to sit at home and be a keyboard arse pointing this and that out. Owners don’t change because a shower of men with tats or men with a Dodgey backgrounds and tweed trousers arse licking the council or Wasps.
Let them go round in circles back patting one another.
I can’t go tomorrow but bought 2 tickets for my daughter and er indoors.
We need every penny, maybe if they spent as much time supporting Robins the money would be most welcome. PUSB.

The real thing to do is turn up to a meeting en mass and bring them all down through tbd rules of their own constitution

Realistically the trust have the media’s ear in the telegraph and cwr so you’d be flogging a dead horse trying to get them inside. the only way really would be to organise a well supported protest at a wasps game and make sure the tv cameras are there.

How would you actually do it. Not everyone is up for re-election every year are they?

Like the sound of that..... would need to get more than the number of "trust members" to sign though I would imagine....Although if Roger Ellis (see Trust speaks up thread) is still involved in FSA, it would be "forgotten about" before anybody else saw it....

Let’s start a song at away games.

I’d much rather sing about how we love the club and the trust doesn’t represent it than sing about Sunderland !!

Not if we went to the media as well.

Perhaps the Birmingham Mail? Or are they linked to the Telegraph?

Mail the petition to the Trust, the club, SISU, the Council, Wasps, Telegraph, BBC, EFL and any other media agency who might be interested. We can't be ignored then.

Look at militant in Labour in the 80s. A good knowledge of the rule book and a few well drilled members can do a lot.

AGM is the obvious place. Board elections but also motions that resolve the Trust to do something. Build a group of likeminded Trust members, or people who will join, craft a few motions according to the rules saying stuff like we will condemn with Wasps or whatever it is you want, get enough people either in person or by proxy along and vote it through.

Does actually require people to do the work though.

As for OP, I’d say in a nutshell:

- Build a list of supporters. Perhaps a petition, through social media and IRL friendship/fan groups
- Put our press releases to coincide with events. The press just wants quotes and controversy to sell papers they don’t have some big ideological point to push. Start with one about how the Trust don’t represent you if you want. Though accept people will ask why you aren’t involved.
- That’s pretty much it

I will say, the Supporters Trust has an actual aim and point. It’s not a protest group despite impressions. They are there to increase fan involvement with the running of the club. Any actions should in theory be aligned with that.

I’m not convinced they’re set up for the job at hand.

Their response to mild mannered janitors season ticket appeal was the most telling thing about their view of the the club and supporters in my view. We all know which side they’re on and all of the half truths they release but the silence was deafening on that one.

I was thinking same Easty.

Massive indication where they at IMHO.

They are corrupt and riddled with desperate people who are more bothered about themselves than the club they supposedly support.

Shame for decent people like CJ who get tarnished by their stance.

Yep, it took loads of nagging for them to even mention it or push it.

In fact, I am pretty sure their official account was liking tweets from people being dicks about it.

The bloke making the statements on behalf of fans to the Telegraph is an ex Mirror Group newspaper editor who is mates with the bloke from CWR who is mates with Hoffman. It is all one big old boys gang with their agenda to push.

We need to concentrate on getting another voice. The telegraph and to a lesser degree cwr are a closed shop. We need to show that the trust are not the voice of the majority of supporters and then get that message out to other media outlets. Hopefully that will starve them if some of the publicity that they crave.

Would the guys from the Podcast be interested in speaking out? Not sure what their listener numbers are? Potentially more than 2,700.

You need be careful not to just be anti existing groups as it allows people to write you off and alienates a section of the fan base. Needs a position most fans can get behind that forces others to expose themselves.

It's OK, I am sure he will be along to acknowledge that either him or Neil has been lying and misleading fans about their meeting with Wasps.

So a statement from Sky Blues Talk community issued as a press release.

I can text it to cwr through Stuart
Email it to Coventry observer

Get full agreement on here of as many as we can and needs to mention nothing other than the current position as we see it form 7500 members

Starter for 10 then

We, the Coventry City football club community on the Sky Blues Talk forum wish to make the following statement to express our dissatisfaction at the current situation regarding Coventry City playing their games away from the city that bares our name.

We need to be back playing our home games in Coventry. Staying away is playing Russian roulette with our future and our existence.

We acknowledge that our fan base have different opinions on whether to travel to St Andrews this season and hold no grudge against any fan attending or not attending. We recognise Mark Robins and the squads commitment to success on the pitch and agree with him that the more supporters able to financially support the team will increase the chances of success this season and make no difference to decisions being taken behind the scenes regarding moving back to the Ricoh.

So we publicly call on wasps to remove the requirement for Ccfc to sign an indemnity clause to cover any losses relating to the Eu commission complaint and for Ccfc / Sisu to recommit to their legal agreement to not pursue any legal action against wasps regarding the sale of the Ricoh.

We further call on the local media to present an unbiased presentation of the facts and to pursue a resolution to the current impasse enabling us to move back to Coventry without delay

Id lose the kisses at the end

edit:
In all seriousness the only bit I’m not sure on is commenting on going to games. It can be divisive. Not against, just not sure. Good work otherwise. Maybe explain why the indemnity clause needs dropping (and the legals for balance)

I don't think anybody can disagree with that in the slightest can they?

It calls on both Wasps and SISU to drop something.
