For next season - hopes and fears, on the pitch...

Hopes

1. Almost entirely new squad of players
2. Majority of players aged between 21 and 30
3. Majority of players have positive experience of League 2 level
4. New, experienced goalkeeper
5. At least two new, hungry goal-scoring strikers
6. A couple of midfield hard men
7. A couple of tough, no non-sense central defenders
8. A team of men rather than wet kids and injury-prone geriatrics
9. No big name signings who are destined to go wrong e.g. Yakubu, Joe Cole etc
10. No more than 2/3 teenagers in a match day squad

Fears

1. Many of current squad still here
2. Still too many teenagers
3. Lee Burge still playing
4. We don't sort our transfer business out until too late
5. Not enough physicality
6. Too many veterans on way down
7. No proven goal scorer at League 2 level

If the owners are the same.
Then we are in for a struggle.
At least now some understand that Robins isn't some miracle manager who can galvanise any squad into winners.
I just hope there isn't another unrealistic expectation on him next season and he isn't sacked as another scape goat.
I hope he is given time and some financial support to restructure the club from top to bottom with his own ethos.

Father Christmas might turn up with nicely wrapped new players or wads of cash but in the real world, being owned by sisu means there's only fears not hopes and thinking otherwise is as likely as seeing a flying pig.

I hope that MR can do enough under these owners so we don't do the double drop. Honestly, right now I'd take staying up next season on goal difference.

My fear is MR walks at some point next season and the few dominos that we still have standing come crashing down.

Yep-I think again promises given will not be forth coming and Robins will throw the towel in again. Who would blame him if he did?

Hopes.

1. More of our own players, less loans.

2. That academy kids are good enough to step up and make an impact. Wouldn't it be brilliant if Ponticelli got a chance and instantly became the 20 goal a season striker we have all yearned for!

3. That we are more competitive in games and fight for the entire 90 mins.

4. That we secure at least two players with great engines who can keep running and chasing and harrying for entire games.

5. That we are much harder to beat.

6. That we win many more games than we lose.

7. That the Ricoh finally becomes the fortress we have all wanted it to be and we remain undefeated all season long at home.

8. That we are top 6 all season and pushing for automatic promotion for the whole campaign.

9. That we secure a very decent keeper and as a result our defence is all the more stronger.

Fears

1. That the slide continues and we carry on feeling sorry for ourselves.

2. That Fisher and the board don't keep to their word and Robins is not given the tools to do his job and build a side capable of challenging.

3. That we are relegated yet again and attendances end up at around 4,000.

4. That Burge is still in goal.

Hopes:

New start. New squad. New coaching staff. Some positivity around the club that actually lasts an entire season and doesn't fizzle out in March.

Fears:

More of the same.

EVERY player? Ben Stevenson? Chris Stokes? Cian Harries? Stuart Beavon?

I'm all for bogging off a number of players who have totally failed us, but I don't think we can label every single player as inept, disinterested, not good enough, or lacking spirit and desire.

I think we do need to try and secure those players who are good enough and can contribute.

I would love Chris Stokes to remain here and Stuart Beavon too.

Not really that fussed, wouldn't have been that fussed if we sold Stevenson.

DKE, Stokes, Stevenson, Beavon?
(Sorry just saw the above)

Agree on the sales bit Stevenson and Willis if they had been sold and like Bury we signed Murphy and a proper striker. We would have had a chance of staying up. Slade didn't believe in using the midfield so it was pointless keeping Stevenson anyway. Plus he was playing long ball to no target man.

Hope that Robins can turn us around into a good football team to storm L2.
Fear he wont and will walk or he will and move on after a better offer.

Clearing the decks even the good ones isn't that bad an idea. New players with no baggage and no attachment to this shambles could help get on the upward curve.

That sisu threaten going into administration as a gun to Wasps head during Ricoh negotiation, which would bring a 20 point reduction making relegation out of the football league a probability

And nobody would say sisu aren't capable of such behaviour.

Hope: Sisu sell.

Fear: They carry on.

Anything else is not worth talking about because if they stay the pattern will continue. Of a downward spiral of the club off the field and another relegation on it.

Hopes
SISU will be gone. The club will recover and start to resemble a professional sports club.

Fears
SISU won't be gone. The host for the parasite will die slowly and painfully.

The rest is detail. Nothing else matters.

I would blame MR.
He walked before as Fisher/SISU didn't give him what he wanted but has still come back!
He should've come back with his eyes wide open. So if, sorry, WHEN, Tim Fisher goes back on his word MR has nobody to blame but himself. And if he walks will be a C**T in my eyes for the rest of my days!
