How does running a bank qualify you for running a football stadium & events venue?

At Executive level it seems to be largely irrelevant what sector you've worked in but more about the fact you've worked at a certain level

Well there’s Exec Leadership, Strategy, Financial acumen,Governance and Business Development for a start.
It’s only a non exec role isn’t it though? He is not going to be running the thing.

Running a bank ? He’s worked for the Government and been chairman or ceo at a number of financial institutions, he will appoint a team I should think, piece of piss.

Not there to be liked, get the show running right. He says for all also says to strengthen relationships with all Frasers Atena partners, which we are one, probably the biggest.

Perhaps not that much of a surprise, Fraser Group have not that long launched a shop/credit card facility which maybe will be another string to his bow.

That's what they thought at Railtrack before the Hatfield crash. They were criticised heavily for having no engineering expertise on the board. You are right though the lessons have not been learnt re corporate governance..

He's Non-Exec Chairman, his main role is to manage the board. The CEO runs the arena, Hoffman isn't even classed as an employee.
