Hoffman said on the radio after the match that he's is going to make a formal offer to sisu for the club but didn't say how much he would be bidding i hope it's enough so sisu will F*** off and our club can be returned to glory:blue:

Hoffman didn't seem confident that it would be accepted but said it would be of interest to some of those within sisu. Which begs the question of why orange ken keeps deliberately trying to undermine anything Hoffman says. Could it be that should sisu accept any bid orange ken is out of a well paid job?

The offer from GH isn't going to be much for the club, if anything at all, but what SISU need to remember is that they got the club for nothing too and people lost money for them to take control.

The business plan didn't work, it's not working and it isn't going to work so it's time for them to leave and let someone else have a go at turning things around.

I think whatever anyone might think about Hoffman he is no fool and understands the world of finance so I am sure he fully understands SISU's position and can structure a deal that mitigates their losses to an acceptable level with some sort of promise of future extra payments. What is important is a: we get these people out of the club but b: not at such a cost where all Hoffmans money goes in paying them off and leaves nothing for investement as that would leave us no better off than we are now. What really puzzles me is why Dulieu seems to be trying to derail any potential deal between Hoffman and SISU?

SISU may well accept an offer of £1 for the shares - it's the offer for the loans that is the problem.

The business plan is working if it is based on cost reduction and getting the club to live within its means.
Cash deficit should now be down to what a sale of eg Clingan or Juke would bring in.

We need a few more players in - the board says they are working on it. Some fans say the board is full of s***. If the club signs a couple of players in the international break we will be in better condition, but some fans will still say the board is full of s***.

So the business plan lowers costs - fine and then cover deficit with sale of one of our best players - not so fine. Even if we do bring in 2 players will they mitigate the loss of Clingan/Juke - unlikely so just a further eduction in team quality. Just hope the business plan contains a large contingency for crowds of 7k for next season when we are struggling in Div 1 or does the business plan not go beyond ruining, sorry running, the club this season?

Financial Fair Play Regulations - that old smokescreen. What are all the other clubs in our division doing? What sanctions will be imposed on us if we break the, as yet unwritten, unagreed regulations, agreed in principle but not adopted yet . As I understand it there would firstly be a transfer embargo - hardly going to make much difference to us as we aren't exactly going mad on that front. And when we are in Div 1 the restrictions on our spending will be even tougher so the spiral will continue. Lack of investment means poor team, poor team means losses, losses mean lower attendences, means lower income, means more cuts, means poorer team, means more losses, lower attendences ...... is there a pattern there? Or is the plan based on having conned 9500 people into season tickets and a few away fans. No answer on next seasons Div 1 plan then?

They will buy the ricoh share which will bring an additional revenue stream which will help with the cash flow.

Plus - the financial fair play regulation has not been approved.

This is now becoming more open and public which i think is now a good thing. Chairman Ken dropped out the Ken Bruce name although promising not to, was this deliberate to move things on. He knows Hoffman isn't going away. It will depend were the resistance at SISU is coming from and it perhaps isn't Dulooloo.

We are now 3 years in to Sisu running the club and we are now losing £500,000 P/M.

And when the board come out with comments like "we have a meeting planed with Coventry council to talk about buying the Ricoh only for the council to say that's not true, you can't help but see the board are full of crap.

I think most on this board are sure the monthly losses are way down - maybe 50%.
But what is more important is that the cash flow deficit is down to a point where a sale of Clingang or Juke might just balance the books (cash flow wise).

So yes the business plan seem to be working - slowly but there never was an immidiate cure in the first place.

I think the meeting you refer to actually took place a few weeks later. Brody had the impression the meeting was already agreed which it was not - the board wanted the meeting but it was not setup at that time.
Was it a lie or a misunderstanding ... I guess it depends on what you want it to be.

It was sun tan Ken that said he has a meeting with the council that coming week.

Not only had the meeting not been agreed, but the council came out and said that no one from Coventry city football club had spoke to them about trying to arrange one.

So you can't think of a situation where the board have decided to meet with the council and the chaiman (or Brody or who ever) believed someone had arranged it (even was supposed to have arranged it), but for some reason it wasn't? You can't see that it could simply be an internal misunderstanding?

would love a takeover at the club ,but it is quite clear sisu are not going for a pound..at the end of the day if hoffman does not come up with quite a large sum of money i can see them just stopping trading altogether.if they sold all the players we may get £5 million but in sisu's eyes and in the eyes of there investors it is £5 million more than nothing if they walk away,like people have said before administation is not an option as they fund most of the debt.

not to sound all doom and gloom but if anything we would just cease to exist

No Godiva I dont want you to leave - differences of opinion and discussion are the lifeblood of any forum - as long as people can be reasoned and not resort to personal insults then a board will thrive and be entertaining and informative. If you are one of the board the good - perhaps you could explain something to a simpleton like myself:

I am an investor with a £1m to spare - why should I invest with you? Why would I trust a compnay (and all investment is done on past record, trust and perceived potential) that has controlled an asset for 3 years, invested £20 or £30 or £40 million (depending on which figure you believe), has no assets, is still losing £250k or £500k (depending on which number it benefits the board to use) has a poor team, falling attendances, increasing indebtedness and falling revenues? Without going into detail of payback timescales etc explain the attraction of investing in this failing business.?
