He could just be an adviser...Like taking your lawyer or solicitor to a meeting maybe?

But who has said the the offer has been withdrawn?

And why would it happen at 10.30pm on a friday night?

Not sure all is clear cut here.

Nick - if they are not financially involved then what is the problem.

Bruce was asked to attend on behalf of another investor I presume

If the Hoffman bid does indeed contravene the clear rules about ownership, it's nobody's fault but their own.

Bruce is listed as a director of both Game 8 Ltd and its subsidiary Cuju TV Ltd at Companies House.
Allardyce, manager of Coventry’s Championship rivals West Ham, is also listed as a director of both companies. Under Article 86 of the Football League’s rules, it is not permitted for “a person, or any associate of that person, who is interested in a Club” to be “at the same time interested in any other football club.”

Who is the football man involved in this bid? It can't be Big Sam.

I reckon the bid is withdrawn on the basis of this slight technicality . The rules might be stricter than we realise.

My take is they are not part of any further meetings and a new bid is made?

The problem is if an investor is part of Game 8?

Then again wouldn't Big Sam be in trouble for being a director of such a company? :thinking about:

Of this is true all we can do try and get to every match we can and support the club and carry on with the protests and get the rats out of our club as quick as possible

Surely but surely the Hoffman consortium know football law in these matters and that the dual directorships would contravene any takeover bid - personally just cannot believe such naivity.

The company has no interest in another football club, which is the apparent issue here. This withdrawal would prevent Sam being in such trouble.

Didn't Hoffman say the chairmen of the company that wants to takeover was at the meeting. I assume this was bruce. So it probably means that Game 8 was the company. As I see it the only way GH will take us over is if, bIg sam resigns of this board or west ham. Both are unlikely

Big Sam is a manager and not club owner though?

Explains the Chinese link to the bid. Could be a big problem if they are the main investor here.

So Bruce is saying it is fine.

Is this SISU leaking to the press to start a shit storm? or are they really picking on something trivial?

Telegraph is saying the bid is withdrawn...

Bruce hasn't said it is...

Its no wonder GH was keen on getting the confidentiality papers signed as quickly as possible. Looks like SISU have no gentlemen on board at all, and will use dirty tactics as and when they please. Disgraceful really.

This implies that his company won't buy us, maybe sisu are trying to force them to invest with sisu in us. As they have always said they are looking for investors not buyers. But surely GH could create another company with the same people but with no big sam

It is a leak by SISU...

Tango Man was pissed of after the initial meeting and mentioned Ken Bruce...

Now the national Telegraph are involved and Tango man dropping shit here?

Dirty tactics?

Fecking hell...

More shit before the game.

No wonder Andy Thorn said it will be a busy transfer window! We are going to sell every fecker with football boots at the club :slap:

You are correct.

The bid might have been withdrawn and new company formed and a new offer sent next week.

Bit of a mess but we need to see what the deal is tomorrow.

More Tango Man statement in the morning on the website i guess and trying to get hold of Joe or Hoff on CWR.

You never know... there might be some football played tomorrow.... or

If the withdrawal and reasons are as reported, it's really not SISU's fault whatsoever; a confidentiality agreement is from the press, not from the actual people who would approve such moves. All the mention of Bruce would mean is that we'd know why the takeover is withdrawn, it wouldn't be the reason why.

I know people like to blame SISU for everything possible, but if the bid is withdrawn for the reasons outlined the blame would firmly be with the inept bid, nobody else.

if the club was a human, they would have switched the life support machine off by now...

Do the decent thing SISU, close the doors and turn out the lights, saturdays are just not fun anymore.

Despite being in my 30's, football on saturdays always made me feel like a kid on the 1st day of a school holiday..

Now it makes me feel like a day where the only thing to get up for is for a dentist appointment

You are right... not the dentist bit

but football and enjoying coventry on a saturday has been killed.

We deal with financial and business matters and that is what we talk about.

We don't have anything to be proud of right now. This is a big mess created by a legacy and now SISU is really grinding the club down. Now the bid, no bid, big sam, blah blah blah!

This is getting too much.

It is about time us fans got treated with some respect and some winning fucking football.

I want football back... not this shit.

5/6 games into the season and god knows how long this is going to rumble on for.

Sort it out SISU and HOFFMAN!

I do believe if we get 100,000 signatures online we can submit this through the Number 10 website to David Cameron...

Shouldn't be a problem with the 12,000 .... oh thought i could get another 0 on the end for home support
