CCC have transferred several buildings to the Historic Coventry Trust for restoration and to be put into use. Is this a goods as it sounds?
This is what could happen to Cov's amazing historic buildings

I saw somebody make a comment about this the other week.

I think that trust is chaired by a guy who owns a building / restoration company. Seemed a bit dodgy but somebody like NW will know more about this sort of thing!

If thats the guy I'm thinking it Is I don't have a problem as they're the guys who have specialised in the aphere.
Been behind the Ribbon Factory, Far Gosford street and the Charterhouse /River innitiative.
A solid Coventry Family, of course someone always makes money and restoration doesn't come cheap but I think I could trust these guys.

A couple of ways of looking at this. Think I'd best remain quiet really!

One thing I would say is no issue whatsoever with the smaller buildings being redeveloped as holiday accomodation. That's what the Landmark Trust do, after all.

As long as it does stay vaguely affordable...

It's just another front for the city council like the many so-called 'communtiy associations' dotted around the city.

Their dad who if I recall Correctly was a bit famed as a firefighter during the war.
He started off a construction company and did very well got some decent clients like Puegot, we used to sub to them and nice to work for.
A solid respectable tight Coventry Family AFAIK.
Ian
Ian is the son who's baby this is can't remember name of the chap running general construction.
Their Brother Roger Is the Environment correspondent for BBC News.
I'm guilty of a certain amount of cyniscysm a lot of the time but I seriously doubt these lads do harm on their hometown.
Hmmm wonder If between them they have enough to join a Consortium or maybe Rugby's their game (Cov), Henry's or Bablake lads. B-)
