Great. Thanks. I'll see what the interest is and then try to do something as a collectiveMy mate is Hinckley so he would be up for it....there was/is an East Mids club but it did sort of fizzle out.
I think the Bricklayers Arms in Sharnford is owned/run by a City fan, have seen a couple of monzo shirts over that way. I'm in Countesthorpe. This is looking good! Thanks for the responses so far. If anyone knows of any Cov fan in Hinckley/Burbage (or surrounding areas) who runs a pub or something like a sports and social club, who would be happy to host a meeting once a month and maybe the odd event, then let me know and I'll happily take it forward.
Must be a few Cov in Broughton Astley too, I had a job there Good Friday and popped into the butchers (a good one at that) wearing my Cov Top and someone said here's another one out the woodwork, I just grinnedI think the Bricklayers Arms in Sharnford is owned/run by a City fan, have seen a couple of monzo shirts over that way. Maybe Stoney Cove would be good?? seen a few shirts there when Mrs mole is swimming in it ( daft mare )I'm in Sapcote. Plenty of Cov fans in the village.
Wigston Magna between the two.is that Wigston.............................or South Wiggy???
Husbands Bosworth.Broughton Astley, Claybrooke Magna, Sapcote... people just making up place names now?
My sons a member at Lutterworth Golf club and loves to big us up at all the Lesta there! In a small village on outskirts of Lutterworth. Fair few Cov fans here too
We're another bunch that moved over 5 years ago. Message the Hansom Cab, they will almost certainly have us. Dean the gaffer is a Forest fan and Charlotte the AM is a Leicester fan. Both love the banter with us but deep down I actually think they've got a soft spot for us. Pretty sure they would entertain something like this.
My boy plays for Hinckley Town JRFC at the rugby club, agree, lots of Cov kits around there.Loads of cov kits on display across all age groups at hinckley borough football club, not so many leicester shirts nowadays.
What beer festival and bar please? They’re my 2nd love after CCFCParents live in Burbage and I’m there a lot. My Dad is a ST holder and we often drink in the village after games.
Spend a lot of time in Hinckley for kids stuff too.
So yea I’d happily get involved and happy to help.
Depending on numbers and days/dates I have a bar we could use - I run an annual beer festival with the Owner so we’re good mates. It serves excellent beer too!
Gonna have to try that next time I'm down by the Crescent! Not an active user on here, but regularly get refused service in the Stottie Shoppe for asking for a batch. I'd happily join a Hinckley Sky Blues club
It was still the Countryman when I lived in Sharnford. I'm pretty sure it's now run by the son of the local builder, Bill Edge, from Henson Way where we lived, who I think is a Cov Kid. There were loads of us lived on that street.I think the Bricklayers Arms in Sharnford is owned/run by a City fan, have seen a couple of monzo shirts over that way. I'm in Countesthorpe.
You work at Harrowbrook, yes? Sapphire?I work in Hinckley we have a big Cov City Badge at the front of the Factory for all to see.
Will probably raise the City Flag next week.....
