In no particular order:

1. Morrell's winner v West Ham in Davenport's last game for the club.

2. McAllister's half volley on the TV against Derby in 2002.

3. Richie Partridge against Reading in the same season (maybe the one after?).

4. Johnnie Jackson's last minute winner against WBA in 2003.

5. Whing's stunner against Derby (which I suspect a lot will include).

Keanes goal facing the east stand, now that looked like an impossible angle..I think it may have been his first. A great east stand ST holder goal moment for me.

RIP Highfield road.

For some reason Drinkells goals against Villa always stands out for me:

He was pretty useless after that.

Watching it back look how empty it is for a local derby in the top division.

This was my favourite goal too. Sometimes you think is it just yourself who saw that or thought that. Great to read that someone else felt the same. This goal came the year after Pele, Brazil and the great Mexico World Cup of 1970. In one match, Pele had taken a shot from inside his own half and just missed the goal. Earnie Hunt went one better, sailing the ball over Tony Waiters in the Burnley goal and into the net. The match wasn't on telly so only the 18,000 who were there would remember it.

That's the first goal that sprang to mind when I saw this thread. Fantastic goal. Result was 3-0 or 4-0. Those were the days.

Do you remember someone's testimonial from around then when Ernie Hunt came on wearing a wig?
