My first proper memory was the Middlesboro game with Speedie and Bernie Slaven (?) both getting hat-tricks- I think Speedo climbed the fencing in celebration, but the memory is hazy after all this time. The other one on my list is the Chelsea game where they wore our away strip and Frank Le Boeuf (?) spat on the shirt after the game. That joins the list because it was probably the angriest I've ever been.
Two of the three memories may be slightly muddled, but that's how I remember them!
As an aside, I seem to recall a game v Birmingham where they sang 'Will you come to St Andrews?' and I shouted 'No, because it's a massive shithole'. Oops.

Mad cold march evening 1963 Sunderland F A cup gates closed and broken down .Suffered "The Blaydon Races" nearly all the evening but up popped Geo Curtis and Dietmar Bruck right at the end of the night to shout them up.
