Following from yesterday’s last match against Derby, just wondering what people purchased in the Auction before they knocked it down?
Was determined to have a bid on the Elephant and ball that was perched above the Main Stand entrance and @oscillatewildly and I went up with our £100 in hand but were well short on that item.
Still, won this one that was in the boardroom.

They were going for pennies - well, very few pounds. The cost of removal and delivery was what was putting people off bidding.

Yes, Adge remember the day well. Arrived with great expectation and an element of excitement. Was really hoping to bag the club crested soup bowls but they soon passed my top price.
I came home (well a couple of days later) with a seat, (didn't we all?) part of a dressing room wooden coat hook rail and the large 'BLOCK Z' sign - which was the block I sat in for the final game. Oh and a picture which featured a b&w photo plan of the ground (circa 1960's.)

Oil painting of Dion Dublin in not the most flattering pose. Used to live opposite him and would see him in and out and went over for him to sign it not long after getting it and for a laugh asked him to recreate the grimace. We all howled when he got it spot on! Said he wondered where the painting had ended up and I reliably informed that it would be in safe hands for the foreseeable future.
Was at a charity event that he was hosting a while ago and he asked me if I still had it or had it gone on E-Bay! The cheek!

At the Derby game I saw two blokes carry off, and walk down Thackhall Street with a "thank you for not swearing" sign about the same size as a sponsor board.

I always wanted some of those bricks with glass cemented into the top of them from outside the West Terrace entrance.

A well known supporter that had a season Ticket in front of us in the west end had been looking at a sign all season the came to the last game armed with a screwdriver.
He got it and took it home.
Cant remember what the sign had on it.
Wish I had done the same....

I think he means the ones installed along the top of walls to stop people from climbing up and over... Shards of glass cemented into the top...

As mentioned above a bit of that wall is still adjoined to the house with the glass still in place.

Now this is a massive long shot but worth an ask!

Dont suppose anyone has any of the highfield road seats they no longer want/need?

Willing to pay if needed, pm me if you prefer.

Its like people grovelling for away tickets all over again!

I asked this before and a couple of people said they’d be willing to part with theirs but never got around to doing anything more than that. So not as long a shot as you may think.

Sounds promising, but i'll keep telling myself there is no chance to not get my hopes up! A bit like the 19/20 being finished!

I have one that I'd be willing to sell if an offer was large enough. Sorry no trying to rip anyone off here, but I'd rather just keep it in my garage rather than have some loose change.
