From what I have heard in court so far; they don't appear to have a credible case to back their actions. I can only see them winning on technicality. Am I happy for my club's owners to threaten the very existence of my club in the hope of winning some real estate by technicality? No. Do I want them to lose and liquidate the club. No. We're now in an impossible situation.

To answer your question in one word. No. But yes

Can't say fairer than that then.

Well I can't, never been able to say my "th's".

You've just said they did to pay down the loan you tit. I said they'd taken nothing yet but it doesn't stop them doing so in the future.

I don't doubt people have blamed ACL / CCC, but how many have said "You will see that SISU are blameless in court" or anything along those lines?

dont get this. They majority of people think they are no good for this club.

Isnt this like you saying "how many have said "Oscar Pistorious is innocent" when he is in court ?"

No, I was replying about the smoking gun bit. I don't doubt 99.9% of fans would prefer different, better owners.

The lies / deceit and underhanded tactics have played out - we've heard evidence that both SISU and CCC have sought to get one over on each other with Higgs in the middle. Or, more likely, they've sought to further their own interests basically.

The difference is that the accusation about Chris West lying to Higgs was glossed over yesterday on the basis that he couldn't defend himself. Whereas accusations about Joy Sepalla (which may well be merited) are true despite the fact that she isn't there to defend herself either.

Wait there. The Chris West admission comes after it's alleged Joy Seppala seemingly threatened to liquidate the club in 2012 if she didn't get the Higgs share, discussions ensued in which they valued it at zero pounds, weren't completed in the agreed time-frame, and with a due diligence that might have been started, but by admission wasn't finished.

As a backdrop, there's a rent dispute in progress, leading to a successful court case (undefended), and a Statuary Demand. I'm guessing that - by now - the relationship isn't the best. And only then in January 2013, when CCC bail out of the distressed ACL business and SISU aren't told you count THAT as 'lies / deceit and underhanded tactics'. 'Kinnell....

In this case and the JR it is perfectly understandable as, compared withe the last few games in League 1 played in a different town with no chance of relegation or promotion, the future ownership of the club will be decided. If SISU are shown the door here, they probably will also be shown it at the JR. Then the only reason for continued funding of CCFC will be gone.

That for me is more important than the last games ( I will probably still go to a game at Easter when I am back in Cov, or rather Northampton ), as I am more concerned about any future we may or may not have.

I agree about this thread obviously being popular as no games are on, I meant more in general but I guess that is for another thread Some people couldn't tell you when we have a game on but could tell you the full list of witness and court dates

Some people are good with the Queen's English, can join sentences up etc, are good at analysing situations whether on field or off, can recall sequences of events, is happy to discuss the point when someone else has a different view, can argue their case succinctly and can take a fair view on situations

Others are good at IT...

I see that you are the sort of person who is reduced to name calling when you are called to answer your statement of "Way off the mark". My statement was "The Council never took any money out of ACL, all the profit was used to reduce the loan from Yorkshire Bank". As ACL had the loan from Yorkshire Bank it was them paying of the loan not the council. Where did you say they have taken nothing yet.

Oh do shut up... nobody goes for this myth of "it's SISU or CCFC dies" - we went though liquidation once remember, the FL will just hand the golden share to new investors whoever they may be, be that Hoffman, Bing's Chinese, P4 or any of the other bidders who put in a bid for the club to come out of admin.

I can't see the humor or drama on one of their threads. Do they all just sit around a fireplace in puffy leather chairs, puffing on cigars and pipes pipping "quite right then" to each other?

OK spiderman -- when we were last plunging towards administration as a mid table Championship Club in our gin palace we could not afford -- other than SISU who expressed interest?

If that business was losing money hand over fist, ANY strategic decisions with far reaching impact & implications - YES, I reckon that it would be definitely a key part of the decision-making process to involve those the at the highest level of the parent organisation...or to coin a much favoured phrase for some on this forum..."standard business practice"
