So, pre-Sixfields, were we not meant to be interested then, huh? What about when Joy was seemingly wanting to liquidate the club unless she got what was wanted. Was that more or less important than the Colchester game?

In recent times, the off-field antics have always been more important than any given game. That's why we ended up in Northampton, if it hasn't escaped your attention?!?

Who has said don't be interested? It is the saddos who couldn't give a shit about the result on the pitch but get aroused when they think they can get one over SISU / ACL / The Council in some way.

Is lunchtime over yet. Looking forward to the judgement as at least it means something has happened in our (and I mean the fans) ludicrous tale of woah (woah and thrice woah!). It doesn't look great for our illustrious owners, both in a PR and a legal sense - but what on earth do I know, I am no lawyer/QC, merely a sad provincial environmental planner who supports a crap footie team! - Looking forward to Peterborough next week by the way - keep smiling

How many threads do you want? Every poster with any anti-CCC/ACL sentiment has been telling us for months that lies/deceit/underhanded tactics would play out in the court cases . The last few days have been a taster for the JR. They haven't, have they? It's evident SISU's only chance is to prove the loan was technically incorrect. That's nowhere near the claims with regards the council's sinister involvement that have been widely foretold

I'll say it again - they're not 'saddos'. They're people who see the off-the-field fare as being more significant in the long run than any given game.

And it must piss you off that these 'saddos' have been proven right, huh?

There have been people maligning CCC and ACL all the time and gleefully waiting for the final proof that it is all their fault that CCFC is in the present position. Always seeking an alternative argument to the obvious point that SISU are in charge and that they carry the can. There are now more swear words coming from some posters and their attempts to turn everything against ACL and Higgs are becoming more desperate as the case goes on. I think it is clear that SISU will be shown the door again and then the bitching will really start on here. This is a shame as we all theoretically want CCFC to somehow survive this ignominous reign by SISU.

Not particularly pissed off at any result in court as long as it is for the good of the club and the truth comes out like I have said all along.

Yes, if people get more excited about a court case than watching the team I do class them as "saddos".

ACL run the Ricoh and SISU final offer to Higgs was £2m for 50% share of ACL, half of the RICOH and they said Higgs share was worth ZERO, so they wanted it for nothing or maybe a £2m donation to the Higgs. No wonder the council decided to take over the loan.

I don't doubt people have blamed ACL / CCC, but how many have said "You will see that SISU are blameless in court" or anything along those lines?

Sorry fellas, I am late to this party (open bar at all?).
Any explanation as to why certain witnesses were chosen for testimony? Is there a documents source at all, or is all evidence simply spoken he-said-she-said?

Trying to keep up with the testimonial facts on this thread is a nightmare... Thank you all in advance, and play nice hmm?

I'll ask the question again. If a court case is so significant to threaten the club's very existence, should it not be of more interest to many than any given game? That doesn't make them 'saddos'.

If SISU lose the Judicial Review and then liquidate the club; there's no more football to watch, is there? Then, I have no idea where Torchy and his mates are going to go to 'just support the lads'

I like to see what is going on in the off the field matters as like all on here (and I truly believe all before people start wasting their time and arguing otherwise..as its my opinion) I want SISU gone, and a new start, but with new owners who wont just do the same SISU have done.

I am also interested in the Team and the Results, as when I grew up I am sure it was the team and the matches that I was interested in, and I didnt give a flying f*ck about the board.

Why cant people be interetsed in both and show the same passion for the team (not the f*cking owners) which clearly doesn't seem to happen.

From what I have heard in court so far; they don't appear to have a credible case to back their actions. I can only see them winning on technicality. Am I happy for my club's owners to threaten the very existence of my club in the hope of winning some real estate by technicality? No. Do I want them to lose and liquidate the club. No. We're now in an impossible situation.

To answer your question in one word. No. But yes

That's exactly where I am. But a small internet only part of me occasionally wants Sisu to win or lose just to wipe the perceived smug face off an assortment of people on here, and for that reason alone.

Compare the football threads with the "legal / politics" threads and the posters. Even bloody BHSB and LAST are actually interested in the football and they are mental!

The lies / deceit and underhanded tactics have played out - we've heard evidence that both SISU and CCC have sought to get one over on each other with Higgs in the middle. Or, more likely, they've sought to further their own interests basically.

The difference is that the accusation about Chris West lying to Higgs was glossed over yesterday on the basis that he couldn't defend himself. Whereas accusations about Joy Sepalla (which may well be merited) are true despite the fact that she isn't there to defend herself either.

I guess 'away fans' are, and always have been in the minority. Looking back at when SISU came to the club, we had circa 18K fans at home games, and maybe 2K away. So, away fans are outnumbered maybe 7:1 (allowing for a guess on away support). The majority of the people who'd post on here are likely to be 'home only' fans. Simple maths, but likely true. The majority of those are now no longer attending home games, and therefore not attending games at all.

They therefore have a disengagement with the football they no longer see first hand. And feel spite towards those who they feel have made them make a moral call on continued attendance.

Put those two together, and I'm afraid there will be more interest, or primarily interest off field, than on. It's just how the reality is for many
