Property is an investment. Worth borrowing to finance it. Doug is smart

The Higgs will be an interesting one as I previously worked at CCC the surrounding land owned by Wasps associated Company/Person and CCC was earmarked for Housing and in the local plan although haven’t worked there for a while so things may have changed but I’m sure it was sold to a developer.

Not sure on the Higgs and areas around the building itself

Great news. Happy to see the club not resting on its laurels after the Ryton but constantly looking to develop. Any player news you’ve heard curiously?

Also curiously do buying and developing training/stadiums count towards FFP? If not wrong you get to discount the cost towards your yearly figures.

Would be an excellent step forward for the club if possible!

Uniting these and the stadium, when possible, makes the club hugely valuable.

So can we add this to the list of things that definitely won't happen now ?

Seems silly to have a split site if you’re spending money though. Get that ultra modern eco stadium at Warwick sorted for the training ground Doug.

Buying both seems interesting, would we need that much space? Would the plan involve having one for first team use and the other for academy use maybe? I also wonder if buying the Higgs Centre would mean it couldn't/wouldn't be used as a public facility any more?

It's quite run down tbh , I imagine a new facility would be built for the football club

We’re a proper club now, good to see.

Wonder if there’s still people that believe King is a SISU frontman.

That's a shame to hear, i've not actually been inside, just dropped my lad off for SbitC stuff. The lack of decent leisure facilities in the city isn't CCFC's problem or fault obviously but it would be a shame if another piece of it fell away (unless it's somehow adequately replaced).

I have mixed memories of the sports connexion , I pulled my groin quite badly there in the indoor midweek leagues in the mid 90s

It was built in the late 70s and aside from having the cricket hall built as a separate building, its pretty much the same as it has always been

I was talking about the Higgs centre but yeah, Connexion was always a dump and those pitches it the cricket nets were absolutely lethal!

would it not be 1 or the other? I imagine if we bought just 1 of them that could serve as first team and academy?

You do know players change heart, circumstances change etc.. not everything comes to fruition. a replacement was lined up for Godden but that didn’t materialise. The source around Doyle got it wrong.

my info this summer, fixtures. Players staying and including Viveash has been spot on

Clutching at straws you are

Would be great but seems unlikely. Prime land for housing, complication of convincing current owners to sell (didn’t someone recently post saying they knew the owners and there is no chance?).

Seems simpler to start from scratch a bit further out from the city.
