What happened to Cian Harries?
Doesn’t seem to feature for Swansea at all.

Stevenson’s mistake in moving to Wolves is a) Not being Portugeise & b) not have Jorge Mendes as his agent

Having said that playing in Spain will broaden his experience and could help him.

I hate this phrase. They don’t die at 35! They go on to lucrative careers in the game or like everyone else just a normal job.

That said, I too wish them well.

I know if you earn millions it doesn’t matter if you earn it all in one year, you don’t have to have lots of cars and mistresses.

My friend was neighbours with Dean West ex Burnley and other lower league teams when I met him he was driving a sponsored Nissan while all the other players were buying fancy cars even though they were below the top league at the time, he spent all his money buying up property in the north with another player from what I know he has a very nice retirement and now drives a fancy car.

It's about being grounded and having the right people around you - not the 'champagne Charlie' hangers on.

Calum Davenport, 75 games for City in less than three years a real emerging star. Big money move to Tottenham and it all unravelled. He also had loan opportunities with big teams, but couldn't turn it around. It all ended up quite sad.

I suppose Hobo takes the ultimate prize - it’s a rather desperate tale

No they didn't. But a career ended and another started. And they don't all stay in football, only the elite and the lucky do that.

He went to Forrest and was their top scorer in his first three of four seasons at the club. Hardly zero status?

Hobo-point taken (from Wikipedia)

Always thought he was a failure that Clough had not taken too!

Now I know!

I don't think he was a failure, but perhaps didn't live up to expectation? Interestingly his scoring record at Forrest wasn't too far adrift from his Coventry one, but that isn't most people perception!

Davenport established himself at West Ham didn't he (edit: no he didn't) but injuries on and ultimately off the field put paid to him. He gets forgotten about as academy products go but he's probably one of the top 10 in the last 20 years.
