Hi all. I am a life long Coventry City supporter that lives in the Republic of Ireland. I don’t get much of a chance to see the lads play at the CBS but watch every single game on the TV.

My wife and I are heading over to the UK for the Easter weekend and have booked accommodation at the hotel at the CBS. We are desperately trying to get tickets for the Derby game. Spoke to the ticket office but they won’t be going on general sale. I have been told that only previous ticket buyers are eligible. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. PUSB.

I appreciate that. Please let me know if one is available. In the meantime, I will try and find a pair so my wife and I can both attend. Thanks very much.

On the website it says I’m not eligible. Would certainly go down that road if possible.

And this is one of the things that is wrong about football. Ihope you manage to get a ticket. Hospitality is generally your best bet.

The challenge I have is that I don’t know anyone who holds a ticket. To be honest, I would consider myself a passionate Sky Blues fan but my connection to Coventry is through my dad. He was born and raised in Bell Green. I have lived most of my life in Portsmouth. The last 10 years in Ireland.

Why not phone the club? Explain your circumstances.

I have been emailing the ticket office. Basically told me to forget it. So disappointing.

I’m a stranger to everyone on this forum. However, I would be utterly appreciative if there were someone who could help us.

Phone the club directly on, 02476991987 and select option 2 hospitality, there won't be anybody there now until 9:00 a.m. Monday morning, good luck.

What part of Ireland are you from? my dad was born in Bray County Wicklow.

I will give this a try. Thank very much for your input.

I live in North Tipperary. About 30 mins east of Limerick. Moved over here for work around ten years ago.

Thanks again.

Nice. Beautiful part of the world. A long way from Coventry though. Really hoping I can find a pair of tickets. Cheers.

You don’t actually need to have a spare account do you? Pretty sure anyone with purchase history can just buy extras

I think they’re starting to make them available for previous purchasers only.

What I mean is, basically anyone on here could buy extra. It’s not one per account like away tickets are.

One of the forum members has been kind enough to offer to buy the tickets for me. Thanks for all your input.

You seem to be sorted for this game, but there is an Irish supporters group who may be able to help for any future matches.
