I know i'm a tad ancient, the memory is not what it was, old git etc but I am sure i could recall the majority of players/teams from yesteryear without thinking too hard about it and could put names to faces and faces to names but I detect a massive disconnect when I try to recall current Premier League players without referring to squad numbers.

I watch these teams and players through TV but most times am guessing who is who and which is which.

As an example (and a little test) i have selected a number of PL players all who played over the weekend and invite SBT readers to put a club to the name(s) without researching like I had to in the various media - here goes:

Sessagnon
ki Sung-yeung
N'Zonzi
Schlupp
Mee
Mangala
Rojo
Cazorla
Fer
Jelavic
Vergini
Lukaku
Azpilicueta
Samalfitano
Janmaat
Jedinak
Coutino
Verthonger
Wanyama
N'Zogbia

Have a go SBT's and prove me wrong - I doubt it

All good old British names (not) Is it any wonder that some want to limit the number of foreign players?

Indeed (well spotted) deliberate hidden agenda here because of the 67% foreign imports blocking progress of our "English" contingent and stalling our climb to World's best status.

Don't deny majority of the "67" are more than worth watching and contribute greatly to our Prem League being probably one of the best in World football BUT we need a level playing field similar to the Bundersleige to ensure we escape from our current mediocrity standard.
