If we could get together with either Luton or oxford perhaps 22 terminally ill kids from a variety of cities/clubs could walk out with the players. Something the whole football community could unite around

Sunderland fans on a forum saying that he should run out with "cheating bastards" on the back of his shirt. Really?

Nope sorry we should look after our own first, it's our day. Let's make some young Cov fans family it their special day.

When I asked I suggested talking to somewhere like Zoe's Place.

On the whole we are brilliant. EVERY club has fans who are poorly educated. It is unfortunate that almost everyone has access to be able to voice an opinion because some are disgusting.

I am sure you can't think for one minute that EVERY SINGLE Coventry fan is a nice genuine person?? Luckily, most people are and have strong solid morals. It's the way the world works.

No, this was all started by some of your fans on Facebook. As far as I can see, nothing has been said by any members of his family.

One of his family members gets on the Sunderland board and as far as I know he hasn't commented yet.

I agree, would be lovely to sort something for some of your fans in a similar situation. The fact your fans started this campaign shows how Bradley has made an impression on World football. If he could be there too then it would be AMAZING. Whether he will be well enough or able to go is completely another matter. Let's hope and pray he is. HAWAYAWAYAWAYAWAYAWAY BRADLEY LAD.

Maybe with that in mind it may be better - now that you have advertised and sold copies of your book - that you bid us good luck and say farewell.

Nah, it's ok mate. You seem to have a stronger dislike of Sunderland than ANY Sunderland fan I know has of you.

Also, seems a lot of your fans enjoy my input.

I haven't read all of the thread so I apologise if I'm covering old ground, but has anybody thought to ask the lad if he would even want to lead us out, it's not like we are a team of stars who he could relate to or his own team. Just a thought, I understand the emotion behind it but agree it may be better to involve someone in a similar situation who knows who we are, doesn't even have to be a child.

Why has such a positive thread been dragged into the gutter? Every club has it's idiot fans and we are no different. We should rise above those plonkers not get pulled down by them. BTW, I'm an 11 years survivor of a serious cancer so i have some insight.

This young lad with some of our own young lads/girls should lead the team out and maybe have collection buckets on the day with 50/50 going to their local hospitals

I'm not sold on this idea. If it about trying to give him a day out, then why not push for the fa cup final/semi final. The fa cup final will be seen on a global scale so a much better platform to raise awareness and fundraise. Bradley will also get to meet some of the top players at the top of world football and other celebrity guests rather than some random people that he's never heard of.

Nice idea but we can do better than the checkatrade final for him surely?

It's a great idea, but it would be great to have some Coventry children in the same unfortunate situation also represented.

I like the idea of fans from other teams potentially being represented (#cancerhasnocolours) and/or lots of mascots in similar situations from Coventry.

It's bonkers to think that if a group of fans on a forum can think of these types of awareness raising ideas, the people who are paid to be in charge of football in our country can't. Once again highlights how pathetic the Governing bodies in this country are.

I have nothing against anybody at Sunderland and think that the club and the premier league rivals have been magnificent towards Bradley.
We have Zoe's Place in Coventry and it would be more fitting if the children from there were leading out CCFC, giving our own something to look forward to and there loved ones a memory to look back upon.
Bradley has had some great days and his family are blessed with stunning memories so I am of the opinion it should be children from Coventry and Warwickshire.
If the powers that be decide its to be Bradley then I am not complaining.

I'd like to feel we can rise above that, whilst it's true that many, many Sunderland fans were uncomplimentary and insulting about Jimmy when he was seriously ill. I'm not gonna hold that against bradley, who gives a toss if it's Sunderland or any other club. We should be better and show more class than those people who made such comments and rise above club rivalries.

I'd be happy for him to lead us at Wembley if he wants it, but like I said before surely we should be pushing for him to do it in the fa cup which would be an even better gesture than a trophy nobody above league one cares about.

Its not about rising above it and I am sure the lads family and most decent Sunderland fans (there has to be a few) would understand that we might like some of our own to be in the limelight that day. A nice gesture would be for the club to invite Bradley down to a home match and allow him to be a mascot/guest of honour then.

I think your club lost the moral high ground over the adam johnson affair. Though may be late kick offs are a more heinous crime than sexual abuse in your neck of the woods.
