Cant believe O’Hares absence hasn’t been mentioned either. Losing him right before the season starts would’ve hit morale and tactics. Then losing Hyam as well.

It looks like we’ve stumbled on our best back three finally, and we’re still to find a way to play effectively without Callum. Going from him to Allen is like crashing your Bentley and getting a Ford Ka as a courtesy.

Combine that with the lack of home games and the resulting generally funk around the club at the start of the season and a poor start isn’t surprising.

All of those problems will improve even if we make no changes to the squad in January.

We were trying to sell O Hare and would have if he wasn’t injured - we will sell in January and if we can’t we are in trouble

We didn't try to sell him. Burnley wanted to buy but I'm not sure it ever really got that close. As with anyone, if we get offered the right money at the right terms then we'll sell.

The right money you say, we have three big gun players and sisu will sell all of them for whatever they can get I believe they would be jubilant with £10m for all three

Of course we can get out of this and stay up. This season is and was always going to be about staying up. Of course it could also go wrong.

So far plenty of off field things have gone against us, some in our control others not. On the pitch there are obvious weaknesses in the squad which is thin on numbers.

Playing so many games in short spaces of time is going to mean injuries, suspensions and drained players running out of gas, that has to be a worry and something we are not best equipped for - and we knew that before any pitch problems and we didn't for lots of reasons rectify it

Games in hand are great if you win them. Games at home are great if you win them. We need some away wins too.

As it stands my concerns are

The number of games being crammed in with no rest periods

That COH expectations put a pressure on the guy that is unreasonable. What happens if he doesn't come back at his previous levels. It's worrying that people's plan A to D etc is COH will be back to making it all OK. A team is more than that isn't it - if it isn't it should be, who else makes the difference if he isn't in the team. The squad needs to make the difference in staying up COH etc should make the difference as to position

That the longer it goes without regular wins or making up the points the more the pressure builds on the team and fans. Are we a team strong enough to play our confidence based game under such pressure ? We all know too much pressure stops teams playing, stops them getting results

The owners decide come January that their investors best option is for the club to sell several of the star players and take substantial sums out. So under cutting Robins efforts to stay up.

Far too early to write us off as relegated but right to be concerned. Best help we can provide is to get up the stadium and support the team. Yes some games won't go to plan but stay positive the team needs us.

With all due respect you spent all of last season claiming the first 7 games mean nothing and all this claiming they’re the only thing that matters.

We’re now seeing Robins being accused of losing the plot by having to be a little creative with shuffling his team around. Why do people refuse to acknowledge the cheap, inadequate tools at his disposal? Squad has been made desperately thin and not by him. A few good seasons have made us entirely complacent, and people seem more likely to mount pressure on the wrong party.

I doubt I did mention 7 games specifically - it you think it’s fine and dandy fair enough

Todd Kane may have to stand in, because after the starting XI the squad is fucked.

Must win game after the international break, at home to a side that's managed to start poorly despite being able to spend whatever it wants. Got it sorted lads, Kane at DM

Surely you just drop Allen back (where he had all his best performances last season) and put Palmer in.

It’s beyond a joke if the latter still can’t start a game with 2 midfielders out

It certainly is if Kane - whose been bombed out - is now returning and out of position.

Fucking hell, how are some of you getting through the weekend?

It's embarrassing, desperate to be more angry than the next.

Glad I haven't looked on here all weekend.

Well I assumed it would be actual midfielders set to play in midfield. But I guess if Robins has gone full Slade then sure stick Kane in there.

Why not drop Allen back and play Palmer (who he has just signed)?

Surprised nobody has said he can't make subs because of appearance fees yet.

He's having to be creative because Hamer can't be trusted. He's Brazilian though...

The whole subs thing does do my head in, both Luton and Birmingham games we were desperate. There has to be more to the Palmer thing that meets the eye.

In fairness to Robins it’s not just here, Palmer hardly plays wherever he rocks up, which makes it even more baffling use of the budget when you have a small squad.

It's like dropping Hyam to play dabo at CB.

I assume because there was only a small undisclosed fee

They would have assumed the wages would be balanced by selling someone - hamer initially - so the cost is nothing

They would look at him as a potential saleable asset in 1.5 years to fund the next level of purchases

If he isn’t playing against Middlesbrough there clearly is something wrong

If his wages are as high as said then could have signed a couple less "fancy" players instead of just him.

We do love signing players just to bomb them off though.

As I say I assume they believe they could work with him and make him fulfil potential but his career to date shows risk

They have to sell Gyokeres hamer and o hare by next summer or they will have no value at all so I assume he’s the next one they were hoping for as there is no obvious Acadamy players looking worth much

Once we get the first win we should be okay. That should be against Boro if we’re banking on home form

Yes Allen has performed much better in the deeper role. It is concerning that Palmer hasn't been playing instead of Allen in the O'Hare role given that Allen has been ineffective.

No need to get so wound up - a lot of the 'head in the sand' brigade as you call them, have just been around for a long time and seen lots of ups and downs during that time, I'll be following City whichever division we're in in 5 years time and beyond (God willing), so claiming the CCFC world is in crisis because we've had a poor start, and the owners are crap etc etc doesn't cut me very deep. In 5 years time we'll be claiming that Billy McGinty is the second coming, then a season later moaning that we only got £15m for him (after Grendel said he was only worth £2m and couldn't trap a bag of cement )

You said we were wanting the correct fee. It’s pretty clear robins is t happy about the fact he wasn’t told the finances were so bad and rather we sold then

We will get less in January and if all three don’t go and then the following season decide to see their contracts out can’t see how we will survive as a club

Burnley journalists are saying we were still trying to sell him when injured

What - you really think CCFC will ease to exist?
Worst case is doing a DCFC, and remember that the main creditors are our own owners,

I know this is going to make me as popular as Prince Andrew but I honestly think our owners would be pretty happy with relegation
