According to mercia the head of refs called thorn today to apologize for the goal against watford being disallowed wrongly.

When I saw this on the highlights show what most surprised me was the casual way the players accepted it. From that I assumed there was an obvious incident. Very odd.

Anyway, I reckon he disallowed it cos we scored from a corner and we never score from a corner. He just assumed there must have been an infringement somewhere.

So you do your job wrong and make a grave error then apologise like that will exonerate you and that's all that matters?
Apology is not much use unless you can reconcile your mistake. Admit you made a mistake is far more appropriate.

Who here has actually had a go in the middle? Thought as much He gave a vast number of other decisions our way over the course of the match and was dubious for both teams.
