Can I ask why? Really don’t understand it.

Is it just a cursory assumption that you do the same as last time? I really shouldn’t be surprised that people don’t think things through but still.

Why?

"I am going to watch the team I support play football"

That's all there is to it.

Last season i travelled to games with a pretty clued family member, he got Sisu being shit owners for quite a long time and how they appear to have turned a corner the last few years and things from a fans perspective seem to have improved, yet he still blames Sisu, claims he dosnt understand the situation with Wasps and the request for indemnity, for him it is simply Sisu taking the club out of the City again, refuses to listen if you try to explain, he dosnt want to travel to Birmingham but rather than admit that he will shout its Sisu again because that is what he thinks people want to hear.

To them.

I don't have to justify it to myself, but to others.

They all seem a little shocked I am going.

I went to most of the games at Sixfields and stood on the hill. I did it for a few reasons. Firstly, it was a form of protest. Fisher would have seen at every game a number of fans who were prepared to travel for their team but who weren't prepared to fund Sisu for taking our club away. Standing on the hill therefore was the only way to watch our "home games". The view from one vantage point allowed you to see perhaps 70% of the pitch including the far goal. If the ball was in the other 30% you were reliant on crowd reaction to know what had happened. The other place allowed a 40% ish view including the near goal. It is the worst place I have watched us play football from for several obvious reasons, but at least I could still see us play. There was also a good cameraderie between those on the hill.
I have my season tickets for next season as this time I feel it is Wasps decision to exclude us.
I asked at walking football on Monday if a chap I knew had a ST had renewed. I was surprised at his response as he, followed by others who commented, said he would not go and watch them out of the city. These are obviously older guys who have had St's for years and sadly will not go.

Yeah but why do you have to justify it to them? You are only going to watch your team play football, there's no drastic reason that needs explaining.

It needs explaining if they believe it to be wrong.

So if someone says they disagree with you on something you didn't even debate it with them? Odd.

Just in general, in life I mean.

That's not having to justify yourself.

When I was told away days only, I asked why and from then I clearly knew he had no idea what he was talking about so left it at that.

But these are friends and they want to know why I am going, so I justify why I am going.

That's straightforward enough isn't it?

"Why are you going?"
"To watch my team play football"

That really is all that's needed. You can pretty much bet they won't be interested in a debate about anything anyway. Same as the bloke who used to chew my ear off when I wore a city shirt to the gym, only knew what the Telegraph told him and formed everything he thought on that.

Hmmm. Nobody should feel guilty, but then they shouldn't have done last time, either.

There are enough similarities between the two times that allow anybody to pick a 'truth' and, well... to blame whoever you want to, really!

But it's perfectly valid to go and watch a football team, the same as it's perfectly valid not to want to. Really, the only way to have any hope of 'winning' this and coming through it, is to keep the fans out of it in terms of their choices.

Mmm, don't agree with that. As long as someone doesn't do anything that is illegal then I don't think they have to justify it to anyone. At the end of the day, this is just football.

When the move was announced there were a few that tried to cause a bit of tension but they got no validation so haven't kept on. The club's Facebook posts always get a few people having a go but they always had, Facebook is full of people wanting to complain about anything.

I think the fundraising going so well this season is an indication of how people feel. Even people who have decided not to go to St Andrew's have donated as they respect it is a personal decision and there has been no huge call to boycott.

Crowds will be down as some just can't attend and some don't think it's correct, which is their right, but I don't think we're going to see anywhere near the fracture of Sixfields.

The face book page is the worst, apparently youre not a CCFC fan if your not going to Brum.
They go on about not giving people abuse for going but give out nothing but abuse to those that aren't.

Really? I would have thought they would be the opposite.

Do they have split personalities that keep switching?

The only thing I don’t understand is why your friends should be shocked? You’re a long standing City fan so what’s shocking? My friends would be surprised if I didn’t go.
