I don't think so.
At the moment Burton have the upper hand on everyone with their games in hand.
I think we are still a few players away for an automatic promotion push.
And there's Tony Mowbray's team talk right there!!this what the Burton fans reckon..............maybe the title of this thread should be changed to just Coventry away and lose the big game part, I appreciate a win for either side would be a great result league wise but its only tin pot Cov! They haven't even got a ground they play on a Rugby pitch.

Yeah, me too. Never had any problem with Walsall and it seems a pretty well run club.I thought you and Wigan had the upper hand until I saw you against us on Tuesday. Our cup run is taking its toll on a small squad and I suspect we will lose one or two of our best players in January.
We were really leggy on Tuesday following the big cup game and we were probably at only 70% and yet you couldn't put us away and somehow managed to fade in the later stages against a team that looked knackered compared to the energy we are used to.
Wigan can't seem to get a really good run going to penetrate the top four.
Burton seem to be defying gravity and I think we all expect them to hit a bad run at some point. Gillingham have periods when they concede for fun.
So I think it is right up for grabs with the top four all having pluses and minuses against them. Even hands all round. It's all really exciting and enjoyable. I'd love us both to do it to be honest.
burton just lost their keeper, and that has to be a worry because he looked good against us up there
Tesco's Extra. If it would have been one of the Metro stores they would have found him no problem, but those extra stores are massive.Where did they lose him?

We do have players who tire. Bit of an Achilles Heel for us that.I think one of the problems we have is that a lot of our squad are either young lads or veterans meaning we have a lot of players who struggle when the games come thick and fast.
it's worrying how tired some of our players looked considering we had a break for cup weekend. Having said that the conditions were horrendous Tuesday.
Who gets sold/recalled in the window, thinking particularly about Walsall and Gillingham here, and how Burton cope with 7 games, 5 away, in March will have a big bearing on how things all pan out.
Yep, they have done fantastically well. Quite often teams that have just come up do really well in the higher division and I think a lot of that is down to then having a winning mentality. In answer to the OP, NO
Roughly two months ago we did.
A 4 point advantage has been overhauled to be a 3 point deficit while playing 2 more games.
Burton Albion are there on merit, taking most recently 19 from 21 points.
All while missing a couple of players and having a managerial change.

Bang on Wingy. Although we're still in the hunt, that point swing in such as short time is alarming. If we want auto's we need to stop drawing and go on a 5-6+ winning streak.

especially if we go on one in March/April - its not how you start its how you finish! I believe TM has bought players in to get us over the line. I think he quoted somewhere he is now very much aware of having to rely on to many youngsters when the grounds become bogs and it saps their energy. Saying that i wished he had of reacted to Walsalls 3 Subs on Tuesday Night and bought on fresh legs to smother the midfield.

with all our new signings, and loan extensions are we better placed than those around us?? Gills look likely to lose Dack and maybe one other, Walsall will struggle to keep Sawyers,Bradshaw and Henry, Westley is worried about Posh losing "1 or 2" and Burton have lost a couple of loans gone back to parent clubs.
We seem to be the only side to strengthen,(which makes a change), so I'm really looking forward to the second half of the season.
Never heard of anyone smoking donut to be honest.I don't get this about young players lacking energy and cannot last 90 minutes. Young players should have more energy that anyone, and if they don't, it's a sign of poor fitness. What are they doing in their spare time? Smoking, drinking and eating doughnuts?

Exactly this.
We will be there or thereabouts, definitely top 6, however to make that extra push we require another striker and definitely another commanding centre half.
To me, Hunt is that man we need....
Indeed, he may very well be. Personally, I think he'll either be outstanding or anonymous. The former, hopefully.
I know he can play as a striker, perhaps that's what TM has in mind for him.
