Heard a drunken rendition of "the music man" over the week end, and wondered if it would fit with any of our team, so penned this ditty.... (Not sure if this tune is already used by us or others, or if i read it on here before ?? Of all the things I've lost, I miss my memory the most)

He is a goal machine
the best we've ever seen
and he can score....... (and he can score)
whenever he fookin wants
David David Mcgoldrick, Mcgoldrick, Mcgoldrick
David David Mcgoldrick, David Mcgoldrick

So, come on, add the next verses....

(I know this verse might only be relevant for a few games)

Sorry, I don't mean to deviate from your post, but I was thinking of jokingly adding after this line an asterix and a footnote stating: *unless you are old enough to have watched Clarrie Bourton. Then I did some calculations. McGoldrick is scoring a goal every 1.37 games for us on average (excluding his one substitute appearance). Bourton scored every 1.34 league and FA Cup games. But if you exclude McGoldrick's League Cup games I think it is a goal every 1.26 games.

So if he carries on like this he might literally be the best we have ever seen! :claping hands:

To The Beatles - I Feel Fine

"McGoldrick scores a goal,
you know the City's on a role,
you know we said so,
McGoldrick scores a goal and we feel fine..."

He was a goal machine
the best we've ever seen
But now he's gone....... (Where has he gone?)
Back to Forest
David David Mcgoldrick, Mcgoldrick, Mcgoldrick

Song by the Scaffold -Lily the pink.
Drink a drink a drink
to David mcgoldrick
the saviour of the sky blues
his shots are always goalbound
he knocks in a rebound
and we will never ever lose

V3.

His name is David Bell
He comes from Football Hell
But he once scored (Where was he placed?)
On the half way line

Don't believe that for one bit, for one bit, you're full of...
Don't believe that for one bit, you are full of...

(I can't believe I contributed to this...)

Robbie Williams - Angels

And through his goals
he offers resurrection
a playoff push and a cup run
and a reason to sing this song

and through the highs and lows
we turn up to the Ricoh
before and after SISU
cos we're Coventry born and bred

Forget Van Persie...
Buy us McGoldrick instead

To the same tune

When goldie scores
He gives us a hard on
We gave marlon king a pardon
But then he went to Brum

He's scored another
Oh god i think i've just come.

What about right up to his 1st goal...

Goldie's gonna get ya! Or if he leaves & Bell starts knocking some in we could easily return to the original song "Belly's gonna get ya" ad'? Sorry but I have no idea what it advertised.

Ay. I can't match it, but could it continue something like:

Sky Blue wonder,
Sky Blue delight,
With Robins leading,
We'll be cheering,
Guide us to a future bright.
