Look along all the leagues most managers are just average or do not have the resources to aspire to better things. most have been sacked at one time or another.

If I remember right Thorn didn't actually want the Managers post...he sort of won it. You might find he was a good scout and some of his shine and legacy might not be obvious.

He wasn't a particularly good scout though, just a myth that he was.

Thorn should have been replaced months before he was sacked but that was a SISU decision, maybe because a new guy could have saved us from relegation.
