If Haskell purchases half the stadium now how does that change things

Who said he is going to do that?

It doesn't change anything, it just means he gets half the money from concerts and women's football. He would need to have the club also.

Only that he may be a more acceptable face for Sisu to deal with. All bridges appear to be burned between Sisu and ACL to the point where they seemingly will only 'talk' to each other through press statements.

PH4 may bring a fresh perspective.

There would be a judicial review and SISU would refuse to play at the Ricoh and say they are going to build their own stadium that is financed by others, so they won't ever own this stadium they want building.

But couldn't he just sell his half to SISU as soon as he got it??

Unless there were conditions in the sale.

The deal if it is true will be announced shortly and gives Haskell 100% of the revenues with the council keeping 50% of the stadium for the time being

So the council would own 50% but not make any money from it??

Not sure exactly the finer detail but i would imagine the council would some how cover there costs - wait and see the deal is apparently with the solicitors doing the final checking if my sources are correct

Well would it see a likeleyhood of a return to the Ricoh for Pressley's Boys?

Or does it make not 1 jot of a difference..that's what I want to know.

Not 1 bit of difference if he doesn't own the club

Again if true this wouldn't make a difference to CCFC as he does not own the club nothing will change...

But theoretically he WILL want City there every other week...it's a case of persuading Timmy to bring 'em back..am I correct on this??

SISU want the Ricoh if ACL sell to Haskell how do you think SISU are gonna feel about it...

It's not gonna happen we need SISU to sell up or be starved out they want the Ricoh for peanuts...

It's all posturing.. If they are going to do it, then just get on with it! Thinking about it from a CCFC issue it might be easier for CCFC to negotiate with Haskell than ACL..

I am hoping that Haskell has been given a bargain deal with enough money in the pot to buy Sisu out

If ACL sell it takes it to the next level. SISU would be stuffed if they want the Ricoh and if they don't sell the club they will continue to wind it down to nothing in spite.

The only way forward as I see it is for someone or group to buy sisu out and that's it. Be it Heskell, Byng and his Chinese or A.N,Other. Will they be better than sisu, who knows but getting back to Coventry is better than what we have presently. Perhaps that is the root the Trust should now take, find out if these two are really still interested or not. Put up or shut up.

Agreed Sisu are only interested in selling to the highest bidder and there is no other solution it is the only way they will go as they have to look afer ther investors they are not going to walk away if they do walk away the danger is they take the club with them

If SISUs goal is still to get ownership of the Ricoh then I guess it would put a big dent in SISUs plans

It would make a huge difference. With Haskell's money behind it, any hope SISU had of distressing ACL into a sale would be gone. In addition he would probably bring in arena specialists and make the arena viable without the club (more gigs, events, American football???), leaving SISU with a choice; Sell up or build your imaginary stadium

If Haskell buys the Arena it will snooker SISU and they can't get their hands on it for a pittance. Really hope it happens.

Does it make any difference or increase our chances of returning to the Ricoh? If no then I don't care if he buys it or not.

Think if he does puchase it will clear up the thought of some that Sisu are trying to force a sale to themselves
