I think it's even funnier that it seems to be the 'council haters' that seem to be bothered by this. Just seems to be a business getting more work to me. Is it any different to when there was a topless car wash in the car park of the Ricoh?

Quite. I couldn't give a monkey's about what ACL does to make a few bob in the absence of the team. The only thing I'd rather they didn't do is bring in something permanent that stops the team returning. That is at least until that avenue is permanently closed by CCFC building their own stadium (which seems unlikely).

When, however, the argument goes from some that the football club should not be central because the Ricoh is a community asset, it does make you wonder about the prestige to the city, the ability to encourage other communities to want to be involved with an asset that stages such high calibre events as these...

And the size of the assets on view

The problem is NW, when the football club chooses to take itself away, what else are you going to do if you run ACL. I think they've always said that they want the club back - although I know the "sideshow" comments irked you. In fairness I read that as the current situation being like a sideshow, and the main focus having to be on protecting the business, but appreciate it could be taken more than one way.

Anyway, must run, apologies - work calls!

Would this be a thread if we were playing at the Ricoh? This is a football forum after all ..........

Funny how the same ones pipe up over and over about how amazing ACL are doing. Local rivals are usually other football teams you know that right?

Surprising no one has yet mentioned booking a pitch view room Maybe we can steal this from ACL at the new stadium, going to need something there when we're not playing.

Ronnie O’Sullivan will be among the names invited to compete in this year’s event, having won the inaugural tournament in Coventry last year.

The Champion of Champions boast a prize fund of £270,000 with £100,000 going to the winner, and the 16 competing players will be reigning champions on the World Snooker tour.

So if your beloved sisu get the Ricoh you expect them not to put on any events to help them pay there way, like you keep harping on it is usual business practice to sell time in a building no matter what the event.

Maybe you could take part then again will show you for what you really are like the Football League.:thinking about:

so what are the rules for the streakers contest. Must get from out the stand and make it to the other side of the pitch without getting stopped by stewards???
