Oh well, a good result for Hartlepool and a share of a massive gate receipt from Northampton....may just pay for the fuel for the coach

Should have withdraw Mr 'best option is to go backwards' Daniels and left it as 2 up front. They were pushing forward but didn't really create many chances.

I wouldn't be too disheartened, make shift team playing a new system, we were never gonna blow them away. We dealt with Hartlepool for large periods in that second half, for all the pressure Hartlepool put us under they didn't create much other than the goal

Poor performance, but still in the cup and got players coming back so not too bad.

Yes, their goal was of our making too, they didn't break us down otherwise.

Proves we have no strength in depth. Apart from the first 12 minutes where we took them apart, they dominated our non existent midfield. I think "We got out of jail" Jack Compton took Adams to the cleaners, and his replacement Johnathan Franks carried on where Compton left off. When we have 2-3 players out, we're going to struggle "Big time" against much better opposition than todays'

The replay and no prospect of return to the Ricoh probably this year has made me think.

What is the point of staying in the cup? We are not going to win it and we now will not be entertaining a big team at the Ricoh.

Concentrate on the league there's no glory here.

Sounds optimistic, I would have thought only 3-4 coach loads for that journey midweek.

Gone for big odds again. Got a few come in lately.

Pool winning half time and us win

Us winning half time and lose

Baker score in first 10 minutes

1st goal 80th minute onwards

Lowest odds 22/1

Lost 15 quid but nearly won a fair bit. Fiver @ 33/1 if we would have lost in the second half and Baker let me down by less than 2 minutes £2.50 @ 28/1. Happy with the result as long as we beat them in the replay.

As bad as we were yesterday I thought the centre of our defence dealt with everything they had to apart from the goal. Murphy made 2 superb saves in 1st half. That performance yesterday is why I say there is no chance of promotion, we dont have the squad to cope.

In all honesty that system was terrific for the first 20, we tore them a new one and with better finishing we'd have been out of sight.

and not great for 70mins. There is no such thing as "out of sight" for CCFC this season

Made the long journey down and had a great time with both the LSC members and some mates who'd come up. However, the first 20 minutes aside the performance was very poor and Pressley's post match comments have me baffled considering how little was offered in the second half-although realistically it was to be expected without a recognised striker in the team.

Anyone see Baker said the first 20 was the best football we've played all season? Now I've not seen all games, and although we controlled the game, I wouldn't class it as being the best period of our season.....

It's job done as far as I'm concerned ... no recognised strikers ... draw and come "home" to play them when we have at least Callum back ... works for me !

Agreed, but still wouldn't say it was through our best football.

I watched it on the net, in the cold light of day I would say we are very lucky to have come away with a draw.
First twenty minutes we should have been 2 or 3 up--after that we hardly had a kick of the ball, especially 2nd half.

Without a doubt we got lucky. Another team who wanted the result more than us, played us off the park for the majority of the game, and were unlucky not to finish the game off there and then. big improvement needed for the replay
