Money speaks at the end of the day. He got more money and gets to play in the Premiership.

Unfortunately it’s not for footballing reasons and this season will be one where most people (other than us) will have forgotten about him. Just average in a shit team. He hasn’t really put himself in the shop window the way Vik has. You’ve got to credit Vik and his agent.

Sheffield United are coming straight back down. They would be stupid to sell him and of they did it would (most likely to a team going up from the championship or coming down from from premier).

He is a proven player in the championship and it would stupid to not build their promotion campaign around him.

He’s yet to prove that he can cut it in the Prem. Maybe 8 million at Championship level but there’s a question mark depending on what sort of team he’d be best suited to now. Haymer needs to pull his socks up and become their outstanding player.

I've not been watching them, but whenever I see their match ratings he is at the top, so I think he is close to being their outstanding player. That probably doesn't count for much though when the team are having such a shit season. It also seems they are not playing him in the same role we did, so they have not been helping themselves in that respect, and it will be interesting to see whether Wilder embraces him or not. If/ when they go down I would expect another low ranking PL club to come in for him like Forest/ Everton/ Fulham/ Bournemouth etc.

Chris Wilder has been taken back on as Sheff Utd manager. Don't think Hamer will fit his style of football. Can see Burnley and several other Prem clubs in his future before he'd even consider coming back here, even on loan.

I have a feeling in my waters that Hamer will return ....... but when he's gone past his prime and Cov are still desperate to get a central midfielder. Well, we've had Cole, Wise, Sheridan, Hutchinson. We do seem to pick them

Fantastic player for us and started well for them. Difficult though to show his potential in such a poor team.
I think a return to the Netherlands is most likely at the end of the season.

Not sure it’s all down to the team. He’s clearly overweight, which would have been fine 20-30 years ago but harder to get away with now.

Hutch before my time - did not have high expectations for Wise but he was a leader on the field and really encouraged the young ones on the pitch - a masterstroke at he time

They spent £15m on him, there is no chance he leaves anytime soon unless another Premier League clubs offers silly money for him which certainly won’t be happening based on his current performances.

As a player, I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

That said, they way he left us so late and 'strung us along', doesn't sit right with me.
