Didn’t they try something similar in one of the recent champions league finals? Seem to remember the producers having to cut the live crowd feed cause everyone was booing!
We did. It was about 30 years ago, yet spookily I mentioned it on a thread only last week! She was drowned out by the West Terrace singing 'Get your tits out for the lads'.
Find the outraged reactions a little strange seeing as HT shows have already been a thing for a while, and opening/closing ceremonies on the pitch have been a fixture for decades. Plus who’s actually watching at HT anyway?
It’s not surprising at all. They’ve been treating us to a completely pointless opening ceremony type show before every game of the last few tournaments. Must say I have enjoyed the random acts popping out of nowhere for 10 minutes at half time recently. Toploader, One Republic, Chesney Hawkes etc.
