To be fair it's for March, and Championship only so only includes West Brom, Watford and Huddersfield. Wright scored in all, 2 against Watford for 5 goals total while Simms only scored 2 against Hudds. So I can see why he got the nod.

It’s a PFA award not an EFL one. Even then, he scored a hattrick March 5th in the league vs Rotherham. Plus 2 goals against premier league opposition in the cup and another hat trick on Feb 26 against Maidstone . Seems bizarre not to include him
