Nah, the long term injury was usually the catalyst to coming up with the formation that worked.You know what, if Robins hadn't have been sacked now, this itself could have been the death knell for him down the line.

It will only work if the passing is accurate and the ball is't given straight back to the oppositionI don't know, sit Sheaf and Eccles a bit deeper and have them hit the forwards and wings a bit quicker whilst also being in position to protect the defence. I'm no master tactician but i feel like it could work with what we have.
