I don't think it's just about sponsoring us. Aligning ourselves together as someone said above, could make great marketing sense for both and give wider context in both achieving outside investment from a new market. The PL is global and that will help Haas raise their profile, whilst us having a prominent Japanese team associated along with our player too, could raise our profile specifically in Japan who are a rich nation and as far as I'm aware have no other football interest currently in the UK.

Dunno, f1 cars are high value real estate for a season sponsorship location...
One off car liveries are a thing tho and I wouldn't bet against a sky blue Haas going round a track in the future.

Sky blue and coral trim is the way to go.

Agree with this. Can't see a sponsorship as it's not really what F1 teams do.. companies sponsor them, not the other way around.

But marketing wise it's perfect. Even just the documentary from the other week, F1 fans who've never thought of watching football can see a genuine link between the Haas team principal and us... clever move from Doug to raise our profile a bit.

Surely if they wanted to do this profile raising they’d pick Brighton?

Mitoma is an established premier league player and a Japanese international

Komatsu's a fan, that's probably the main driver.

Brighton is a lot further away too.

Haas is mainly a manufacturer of machinery. The F1 team is a tiny offshoot. They even had William Storey as their sponsor at one point

Yeah the link doesn't make much sense to Brighton.

Yeah and it's the F1 team we're dealing with, not the manufacturing firm.

Er no. You’ve said it’s happening - I say it won’t. Let’s see who’s correct

Small F1 teams like Haas rely on merch sales and corporate sponsorship to survive. Given their technical centre is just down the road in Banbury and the human connection with the Haas boss being a Cov fan it's just an easy and potentially productive marketing exercise to get anyone with an interest in the sky blues to show some interest in Haas F1. Even just a few thousand extra clicks on the Haas website or likes on their Facebook page all helps.

What could be interesting is Haas F1 have strong links to Toyota and they would be a nice sponsor to have in the Prem.
