“My first gift to the county of Northumberland was a nasty one.”
With all this talk of things being flung at the Sunderland fans, I’ve got to ask.
It wasn’t...was it Laurence?
Another reporting masterclass. Thanks from all those who couldn’t be there!

I loved the line “Bright tossing about metaphorical grapes and luxuriating indolently on his cloud of elegant ease.”
Really sums up the way he plays. I hope that we can sign him up for next season. Games like yesterday might mean he gets an offer from someone like Sunderland however.

I really think we should go all out for him in the summer. He clicks, we click. And if he has a bad game (which all luxury players do), we’ve hopefully got players around to do a job.

Yep. I got the exact same feeling that he might be playing for Sunderland if they went up to the championship. Either way this (and mondaynon tv maybe) was the most significant encounter with a shop window since the days of Noel Whelan.
