Viktor Gyokeres is on target to break Lionel Messi's record-breaking goalscoring season. But can he do it?

It baffles me that his fellow Swedish striker pal at Newcastle, Isak, is seemingly higher up clubs wish lists when he'll seemingly cost quite a bit more. I'm sure I saw an article yesterday that said Isak could cost £115m.

You could spend circa £30m less and get arguably a better striker.

Isak is proven in the premier league and is a much more technical player. He suits clubs like Man City and Arsenal more than Viktor

Viks playing in a league that is not that strong tbh. But he is riping it up. Has done it for the national side now too. His opportunity to shine against tough opposition is tonight against Arsenal. So pleased for him. It shows how football is largely based on fine lines, from being let go as an apprentice, to unable to establish yourself in a team and loaned out and waiting for that chance and spark to come along. Luck plays a big part. Since coming to Coventry his story simple exploded and he found his way thanks largely to Robins and Vivash.

He'll run Arsenal ragged, just like he did Man City

His opportunity to shine against tough opposition - he scored a hatrick against Man City the other week

Arsenal's back line will be much stronger than Man City's was when Sporting played them. It'll be a harder test for sure.

Very good player, such a fine athlete. I hope he continues to progress and stay lucky on the injury side of things.

Had the Sporting Arsenal game on the second screen and Vik hasn’t had a sniff at anything, Sporting look horrible and deflated without Amorim.
